Jeez what a journey. The fact it takes a toll on your mental health is a major issue. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.
You can only do your best, even if Apple prevents you from this - If Apple can't be transparent, then giving your Construct customers a heads-up on potential issues is all you can do really, even if it frustrates them. The fact you often find workarounds and other engineers shared workarounds and such, is amazing - The work and effort behind all of this is greatly appreciated.
Ah very interesting, thank you!!
Oooh what does "constant redrawing" mean, and what is the benefits?
I LOVE seeing updates that enhance the event sheet view, thank you!!
macube Hey, I have a question:
What would be the most efficient way to "extract a zip file to a given path"?
Currently, I open the zip file with this plugin, and I read a txt file that is in my zip file that contains a list of names for each file in the zip. Then I do a loop to load each file in the zip as BASE64 into a binary data object, then I use the nwjs plugin to "write file to path" and it does work, but this whole thing is a very slow process. It locks up the whole window for about 20 seconds to deal with 100mb worth of files.
Am I overcomplicating this?
Ahh it was "Use worker" set to "On". If I set my project's "Use Worker" to "No", then on preview, there is no crash and everything appears to be working!
Is "worker" a lot of work to add support for? Regardless, I'm so glad that this plugin can be used! I'm not too sure on the real-world benefits of worker mode, but ZIP support is more important to me, so I will continue for now with worker mode off. Thanks!
Console error with worker mode: [C3 runtime] Failed to load all engine scripts in worker: ReferenceError: window is not defined
macube Hey just to let you know, I went to your website and sent you an email just now about this plugin, it currently crashes on preview when used.
Copy picked sounds very interesting!
This is the update page for Construct Animate. There's another release page for Construct 3.
My first reaction was "oh no, now the devs have to split their attention between 2 products", but to be honest, I have faith in Scirra, they wouldn't add to their workload if it wasn't a well-researched idea.
It's not their goal to make full-fledged 3D as of now. I'd love to see it happen if Scirra were to have more employees though!
Wow, that was a quick response and update!!
Thank you so much, I tested this and it works correctly.
Just wanted to say, this is an amazing theme and I have been using it for a very long time! Thank you so much for all the hard work and effort you put into making this!
I was using a 2 year old version without realising, so I just updated today! I noticed the comments in the Event Sheet View are a bit small, even if you zoom in to the Event Sheet View - Is this by design? How do I make the font of comments a lil bit bigger?
Many thanks!
Many many MANY thanks for the Drawing Canvas fixes! I was wondering why some effects had been broken for a while in my project, but now it's all fixed itself!!
Ah yeah. I haven't seen the start page overhaul yet, but I suppose something "big" would imply to us that it might be a feature that woule affect most people's day-to-day usage of C3.
I'm just hoping the idea of "encourage activity within the community" stuff means that the suggestion platform gets a bit more visibility!
