You're right. C2 is "locking" all Images that have been add during "execution-Time". I noticed the same, when I was trying to delete/replace animation frames

If you dont want to use an array i guess you can use an "invisble" sprite for each slot in the menu and than use these sprites to spawn your items in place.
I dont quite understand your question, and the CAPX doesn't help much.
If you are trying to dynamicly place sprites on a rooster, you could take an array and store the x,y coordinates of the roosterfield in there, then retrieve them as needed...

Second, when you run the preview of your project, a local webservice is started. You can tell by looking at the URL in your Browser...

Well Pal, animation is not something C2 does by default. Your Avatar "slides" because you have no code, that controlls your animation.
