  • Probably you'll have to do something to decrease the 8000 trees, make some parts of the forest solids and only use tree objects around that part.

    For the two object thing I would suggest you to use a 4 point polygon collider on the base of your trees and an image point 0 some pixels above the base so you can arrange your z ordering with Object.Y

  • I also want this, & the subfolder selection thing would be great (shift-click or right click folder -> 'select all in folder').

    Yes probably the right click solution and the Ctrl+A might be the best instead. Any way to group and move together many objects in the editor would be fine. I'm loosing so much time now that i have to select every part individually and the miss-click thing is a nightmare .

  • I know prefabs has been requested in the past, But something that will help me stay on construct 2 engine would be a way to select multiple objects in the editor.

    The way I'm thinking this can be done "easy" is:

    Selecting a subfolder of objects in the editor would select every object in that subfolder so i can organize my groups in subfolders.

    Or at least let us use shift-select or Ctrl+A to select everything in a subfolder.

    Anyone else having this need?

    Take a look about ISO shadow which it can be manipulated as different forms. Take a look, they are using HLSL language, they can be ported to GLSL if you think it's possible.

    Can I ask you one thing? It would be nice to add "scale" as new parameter to Dropshadow, the problem is I cannot add "scale" in current layer where is using dropshadow because it may affect sprites that aren't shadow.

  • dayle85 I also have the same performance problem and i bought the Q3D plugin just to test the performance. A test you can do and maybe help your game is to check for collision with the upper part of the trees and move them to another layer or zorder till the collision stops.     I would like to ask you. Is there any way to rotate a 3d sprite ? Cause now 3d sprites always face the camera, an the other way around is to create a box texture which is a little time consuming.

    Besides that is there any thoughts about Construct 3 compatibility and / or upgrade pricing, cause my project might be in development by the time Construct 3 come's out and probably i would love to upgrade. As I understand Construct 3 might support the creation of a true 3d editor "plugin"

    No. As I said before I would like Construct 2 to offer me an image sequence export option for some controllable effects,

    The main tools used are Photoshop, Flash, Cacani, After effects.

  • A0Nasser Of course I could, or maybe point you at some other's tutorial covering the same thing. But what effect exactly are you referring to ?

    Most of the effects are made from scratch using Adobe After effects,

    others like the rain was tested in construct 2 experiments made months before.

  • Hello Construct users,

    Today after several months of hard work we finished our first music video/short film animation. This was my first time in such a big project as an Art director / illustrator in a video.It's called BO and it's a story based on the last song from the album Yearling by greek band Whereswilder.

    Beside this I would like to tell you that in the course of those months I had some difficulties that could be solved Really easy if Construct 2 had an video / image siquence (.jpg , .tiff , .png) export option. Things like the rain drops or some parralax effects would be piece of cake to create and control on Construct 2 instead of AE where possibilities end with the given sliders.

    This is just an idea, mainly searching if anyone else has/had the same need.
