Honestly, if someone is going to the effort of downloading your game, in this day and age they really won't care if it's 5mb or 55mb.

I get the feeling that this would be tremendously difficult for scirra to implement.

I once talked to someone about being able to use FunctionName(param0,param1) instead of Function.call("FunctionName",param0,param1) but apparently the engine architecture prevents this. I can only assume that your request may have similar problems.

An image that's 6800 pixels wide will eat up a HUGE amount of VRAM. Also, it's a bit awkward to teleport the player back to the start seamlessly.

Those two factors make an infinite scrolling game probably better with the first approach.

The NDA's only affect those who are dealing with Nintendo directly, we are perfectly free to spectulate as much as we'd like.

Personally, I see this is a weird move. I don't see why Nintendo is after a lot of mid/small size games, when what it really needs is system sellers. And without webGL or the audio API, there isn't likely to be any system sellers based on the web framework.
