  • I haven't looked in-depth at it yet. It looked interesting enough and peeked my interest so I thought I would share what I had found the other day with everyone. It will be interesting to hear other responses regarding that engine though. You have definitely peeked my curiosity again, I didn't know this so I will have to take a closer look at it when I have time to do so. Thanks for the response I will have to look into that.

  • Blender will do what you want to do, but it is pretty complex. Sometimes you can find a free class at strange places though. Where I just moved from our local YMCA had computer classes for kids and adults- one was a class specifically for making games in blender....so you might look around, you never know what you may find near your area...

  • I love Construct 1 and 2 but it never hurts to see what the competition is doing.... Besides Ashley and the Construct gang may not be aware of certain progresses others are making and I think it's never a bad thing to review others that will also keep them on their toes. Also the more various things mentioned here it will increase the probabilities of Construct coming up in peoples searches of similar engines...so don't get me wrong guys I paid for a construct license and like the work they are doing. But as with any business if Ashley and the gang happen to get relaxed and others beat them to the punch created a much better product as a consumer I would have to consider changing products that is unless the Scirra Team keep on top of things which it currently looks like they are working hard to do. Great Work again Scirra Team and a great product, looking forward to more future updates! also Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :P

  • Even so, blogging is whats in now...so congrats! Just means more of construct and scirra should show up on search engines with more and more recognition....it's all do to your hard work and a good product!

  • Great Jobs Guys!

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • wow now this is a nice engine and it's open source/free I bet Ashley could incorporate some of it's features into Construct 2 down the road...looks good to make games like the classic legend of zelda....

    Here's the link enjoy!

  • Looks like another html5 ready game engine (Impactjs) this guy is asking $99 for it though. Currently not convinced it's that good, from the little I saw Construct 2 still looks much better. I still like to look every once in awhile and see what else is out there and what others are doing and here are some of my finds...

Anyway here is the link for all you curious onlookers....

  • you can use a light table to draw all angles of movement and to easily manipulate your drawings. Here is a video on how to create your own light box. I made mine (portable) because I used an old scanner. it cost me around $10 at home depot and then of course destruction of the old scanner I never used, time and effort, etc. !

This video was my inspiration and I hope it helps!

  • Is there a chance that this new Facebook plugin feature will work to tie games into ANY social network?

My team and I are building our own social network and would like this feature tied into our own, is this possible? If not how can it be done?

  • Hey,

While I believe that construct 2 could make an awesome website builder as well as game builder down the road, in the meantime I highly recommend this product for those who want an easy to use all in one website building program developed by people who originally worked on Adobe creative suite and so the format and style of the program work very similarly. But it is all drag and drop, I've had great success building professional websites with this and thought that I would share this with all of you....enjoy!

  • Built in Website specific tools Would make construct 2 a more versatile tool and attract a much larger group of people who would purchase it! I know web development is not its main or intended purpose but never the less it would be Awesome to see more web features added to Construct 2, possibly it's own web features button on the top, just a suggestion and I anticipate the future of all construct 2 will have to offer! ;P
