  • Congratulations!! Your game looks very good.

Nice to see people still using CC.

  • I'm so happy to see this. Thanks and congratulations!!

  • The link is broken! Can someone post it again?

I really want to try this out...

V.1.03 is included on the all-in-one pack:

  • Haha no I do like the challenging nature of it. I thought I'd be put off by the no save aspect but actually it's quite good and it makes you really get the timing of the AI down in each room in order to not lose any unnecessary 'health'. I'll definitely be supporting your next game too.

    Thanks! =)

Thanks a lot for re-uploading the fullscreen .cap example on the other thread as well. I'm sure that will come in really handy.

    You're welcome!

    ----------------------

Tcheco's 2nd Steam update was released. What's new:

*Tcheco now can jump with any of the main gamepad buttons ("A", "B", "X" or "Y").

*"Reset" function is now activated using button "back" on gamepad (used to be "X"). It works only during stages (and if game is not paused).

*Button "A" on gamepad also skips screens ("Start" also still works to do this).

*Button "B" on gamepad exits game and return to Windows when player is in title screens, cutscenes, etc.

    *Small graphic glitches were corrected.

See you in 2018 - to release version 2.3 of this game and the sequel Skatemasta Tcheco!

Special thanks to Nesrocks, Danilo Dias and all players who helped me with tests for this update!

  • Very impressive, congratulations!!

  • Thanks for your reply! =)

In fact I only need to upload my game (.EXE + all game files) to Valve/Steam (no DLLs and files like this).

When I'm logged to their system then I can choose which redists users need to install before playing.

Right now I've checked two redists (DirectX and Visual C++) as extra downloads. I just need to know if I can uncheck Visual C++ or if it's mandatory to CC games.

But OK, I'll keep both redists marked until I find a way to make tests. Thanks again!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hi!

I know that Directx and VC2005 must be installed to run Scirra Construct Classic - but is VC2005 required to play Scirra Construct Classic games?

I'm asking because my game right now on Steam installs both DirectX (June 2010) and Visual C++ (2005) redists but I don't know if I'm making my costumers download unnecessary stuff (VC).

Redists make download of my game much bigger than it should be (a 20 Meg game - but actual download on Steam is more than 100 due to these extra files). It would very good news if someone at Scirra could clarify if VC is mandatory or not.

    Thank you very much!

  • Does anyone still have this.cap? Links are dead.

    I've uploaded it again:

  • Your game is awesome man. I just bought it.

    Thank you very much! =D

Been playing it ever since. It's challenging yet satisfying.

If it's *way too* challenging there's a cheat code to help you:

I love that it was made in Construct Classic. That engine still beats the breaks off 2 and 3 in my opinion, probably because it is native code, which seemingly the whole user base wants a return to!

Yes, the more I use (CC, C2 and C3) the more I think that the best Construct is still the first one.

I tried to port this game to C2 and it was a disaster - so the port was cancelled.

What I find interesting about the aesthetic is that in fullscreen mode it is crisp and clear but not so crisp as to be piercing or headache inducing (which I find with Construct 2). It's not harsh to look at in the way that games used to be when they were played on old TVs. So, my question is, how did you achieve this? Is it a shader?

No, there's no shader. I'm using point filtering with no effects applied.

But I'm not using Construct Classic's fullscreen mode. CC games in fullscreen are very laggy (main character used to jump after a small delay when you press jump button) and only running in an alternative fullscreen mode the delay disappears - the one from this topic: retro-style-full-screen-example_t65369

  • I'm still making Skatemasta Tcheco. Some new (or updated) screens:

  • My game was created with Construct Classic and I had no problems at all to publish it on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/377600

  • I'd love to see Blargg's NTSC Libraries and Hylian CRT shader somehow ported to Construct 2.
