  • i'm loving this because i would like to make some card game and turn based board games. so lag is of no matter to me. just being able to network two or more players for a game, and allowing them to interact is gravy on my potatoes.

but i definitely understand, for people doing more action type games, they would want it as lag-free as possible.

but if i can hook up players with this, then cavemen checkers...is a go - lol.

  • vladoss,

the game i made is free. it is a personal endeavor to try to help better the lives of young girls/women...

    http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/grade-invaderz/id348665724?mt=8

i plan to update it using c2.

yes, i have a 1st gen ipad now.

i don't know if you are asking me, or everyone, i hope everyone, but i believe the first level is the hardest, followed by the third and lastly, the second. but i personally believe, that difficult levels in a game like this are good and needed. what you might want to do is use the easier levels to 'teach' the player tricks that they will need to finish the harder levels.

    hope that helps.

  • like the music...inspires me to kill mercilessly...lol.

  • I gotta say, this looks really amazing. I also gotta say, I have no idea how it works or what you're doing. <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I guess your ultimate goal is to make it so accessible that even people like me can use it! Keep up the great work.

you know the drill...what he said - lol.

this sir, looks amazing. if you end up doing half of what you intend, this will open up incredible paths for more game types.

i could finally make that networked cavemen checkers game...lol.

  • chrisbrobs,

it is getting better with each iteration sir...well done.

i agree with genkigenga that a level of added polish would be added sounds for accomplishing certain things like a hole using the jumps, hole in one.

GenkiGenga, to your question, he did have a mechanic like what you suggested in one of his earlier versions, but he changed it to this because it allows the player to change their mind about the shot, instead of being stuck with shooting, once you have set up the 'shot'.

i also agree that a numeral indicator for the angle would help with fine tuning shots as well. you could have the number inside your 'arc' graphic, to the right or front of the player.

this is really coming together nicely.

    keep going sir.

  • chow belle'...

  • this goes out to all the super talented people who have already created great plugins for c2...

do you think it worth the time to create a generic tutorial with a simple example showing how to create a plugin with simple behaviors?

i realize that those of you that know how to do it, know how to do it. but those of us, like myself, who don't know, but want to try, may be afraid, unknowledgeable, or simply intimidated by it.

if it is too much to tackle, or too broad a thing to be covered by a tutorial, then i understand.

i'm just asking if that is indeed the case.

thank you all, for everything you have already contributed.

  • And to make this game for iPad I need iPad :D

actually you don't sir. don't ever limit your possibilities with assumptions. i published my first game on the app store without ever having an iphone or ipod touch to test it with, and i even used the accelerometer for movement controls. i simply had other people test it for me, and you can do the same here.

    where there's a will, and a great game idea...there's a way.

    find a way.

  • vladoss,

i absolutely LOVE this game sir. the simplicity of the 'mechanism' along with the difficulty of the layouts is near perfect for sucking players 'in'.

yes, the first level took me a while, but i beat it. the satisfaction of the replay and the 'well done' are...well done.

could very easily be an ipad game. laying down the squares with your fingers and then watching the result is an incredible interaction, that i think would appeal to kids and adults with this game.

please finish and find a way to publish this game sir.

i think you have 'found the fun'.

  • really brilliant stuff you are working on, thanks for displaying this to us all.

    what he said...

    i couldn't help myself...lol.
