  • A mobile version of the website would be nice as well. (especially if there is a games showcase, which is easy to find. Since some mobile devices support HTML, you could go to the website to play games!)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I'm not sure if C2 will ever have a multiplayer option (I'd love one!), but you could rent out a small amount of server space and bandwidth for users to test out the multiplayer options.

Users who don't have a server can create a game or try out the function without having to rent a whole server and setting up the whole thing. (And for testing purposes, they don't need a lot of server bandwidth and space and probably don't need to connect more than 2 computers).

In return, you could ask for a monthly fee or something like that.

The profile idea sounds pretty good. It'd also be a good idea to show off a few awesome games made with C2. To give people an idea of what they can do with the engine.

  • Yeah, maybe I've done something wrong with the VM or I might have installed a wrong version of Windows XP or something. (Couldn't find my Windows XP CD, so I downloaded a copy)..

I'll try it out with another version of Windows XP some time and post the result here (just in case anyone else walks into this problem)

  • Thanks for the info scidave. I think that, with my time limit in mind, it would be the best option for me to go for a single player game then. When I have more time for a project, I'll definitely try it out though.

  • I'd love to see some kind of multiplayer plugin or something like that.

  • I've just installed Windows XP on my Macbook with bootcamp which got rid of the problem..

I guess that the problem was caused by the virtually emulated windows xp..

  • At the end of the tutorial, you say that this information is all you need to create a multiplayer game unless it's a fast paced action game or a FPS. Does that mean that I can't create a 12 player platformer shooter game with PodSixNet and Construct?

  • That pong game works pretty good! nice

  • Benchmark Results:

  • Yokai teaser

    so... pretty!

  • I have enabled 3D acceleration and have assigned 256 MB of video memory.

  • Still trying to solve this problem. Uninstalling didn't help me.

Is it possible that the error might occur because I'm running windows xp on a virtual machine (on my macbook)?
