  • Is there anything in the online manual now that isn't in the pdf version? If you could point these out I'll add them as soon as I can. :)

  • Thanks EmperorIng360, really appreciate the link. :)

  • It all depends on what background you come from. If you're a coder (like using GM for instance), like I am then you're more comfortable doing it that way and any other way will take a little while to get your head round.

  • Hope you all find it useful, I'll be adding Families as and when it arrives in the official manual. :)

Perhaps this could be stickied so it's readily available to new comers? just a though. :)

  • Thanks for this! I was thinking of doing something like this myself after I did the pdf version, now I don't have too! Great job. :)

  • Of course! :)

  • Great plugin septeven though I am having a bit of trouble. Take a look here:

    <img src="http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/4378/clipboard01ey.jpg" border="0" />

I'm trying to get the textbox to say Ogre when selecting Ogre from the list but I can't seem to do it, I've tried both 1 and 0 for the selected line and ID. I can get the text box to say Ogre when selecting Dragon, the second line, but not the first.

    What thing am I stupidly missing? <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I could add an index of sorts showing the order in which the manual should be laid out but I couldn't add page numbers as those would change as and when new stuff is inserted. Yes?

  • I've now corrected the title (doh!)

The pdf version should follow the online version so you should be able to find things that way, the reason is that as C2 continues there'll be a lot of changes / additions and page numbers will change.

The pdf links should have really been removed (I did with some) as this is meant to be a printable version, also there will be an official downloadable version coming which will no doubt preserve all the links in the pdf.

  • First of all a big thanks to the guys at Scirra who allowed me to share this with you. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle">

I've compiled the online manual into a downloadable - printable pdf version. This manual is slightly different in that everything is split into many smaller documents instead of one great big one, why? because C2 is still progressing and things will be added / tweaked and why print out a 150 page manual ...again... when just one little thing has changed?

For this reason it's all split up so if something is changed / added you just have to print out that 2/3 page section.

    C2 Downloadable Manual - In zip format - 10mb.

If there's anything missing or wrong could you let me know so I can correct it, thanks. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • I also use GM Panda and C2 is completely different! If you use GML then getting your head around event sheets may be a struggle as there is no coding required. Stick with it, read all the forum, manual and tutorials and just have a play around (like I am) and see what you can come up with.

Is C2 different to GM? Yes, like chalk and cheese. <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Then try 0.x, like 0.6 or even 0.05 see if that makes a difference.
