  • Thank you.

I tried construct 0.xx and I liked it, but it only allowed me to make windows executables. I wanted to make html5 games and tried a couple of libraries out there that was too difficult for me at this point. You solved my problem.

  • Fluid2.cap requirers some plugin and I can't find it?

    Are you sure?

Which plugin? Screenshot please and I'll be happy to sort it out for you.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Watch me as I shift the blame.

JamesX (oooh, the vilain!) made an example and tutorials list.

He made it extra addicting and mildy hallucinogenic by secretly embedding cocaine into each .cap file on that list.

I, the poor victim of the system, was minding my own business, on the way to donate puppies and dog food to the orphanage when he pulled me in and threatened me into reading his list.

I did it, mostly to save the puppies, and in a drug induced stupor lost all track of time and commented on a dead thread.

Now, who is truly the culprit? Is it me, the poor man, trying to save the puppies for the orphans, or the scheming James with a capital X in the end (as in X marks the guilty)?

  • I'd do it if Ashley would give me sticky powers v<img src="http://www.scirra.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif">v

    (hint, hint)

    Don't do it Ashley!

He'll turn mad with power and he'll start stickying things which should best be left unstikied (destikyfied? unstoken?)

You do know why they called him the Dead-Eye in the galleys? He got his own eye stickied to an oar so he could watch for approaching sharks and hypnotize them (when in range) into attacking his foes. Many still shudder when they hear the name of the dreaded Sticky Dead-Eye of the Caribbean.

  • Best thing since sliced bread. Specially for newcomers like me. Thanks for this great list.

    +1 for sticky.

  • Thanks. Great stuff.

    Very useful!

  • +1 for Scirra.

  • This is pretty great!

I will probably need something like this for a future project of mine.

    Thanks for sharing the .cap

  • I mustn't, I shouldn't, I can't, I won't.

Read all of 389 tulamide posts. They are all so full of great bits of information (not to mention these gems with caps) that I feel tempted to just read them all at the risk of getting no work done.

    I mustn't, I shouldn't, I can't, I won't. It is forbidden to me.

    Probablly will though.

edit: +1 for including in tutorials (not beginner, of course)

  • There was a slight bug that made water "stand up" in horizontal platforms.

    Watch first 7 seconds of

    tulamide made the whole thing.

I made a tiny change inserting a random move by 5 pixels when it is created.

Also, it's created by mouse button and I changed the colors.

My first bug squash ever. I feel the testosterone levels rising... AARGGH!

  • tulamide, you are the hedgehog of a thousand spines.

May you prick all your enemies in battle and roll home to the safety of your nested fortress.

I got the file and was able to run 4 simultaneous instances with 1500+ sprites each. Windows 7 x64 quad-core 2GB RAM with Gforce 8600.

Also, do you know how hedgehogs do it?

    Really really carefully.

  • foam

Still don't know what I'm doing, but I hacked away (as in "with an axe") at your foam and I erased (with the eraser in the picture editor) and now it works on non-black layouts. I'll do some more experimenting and if I come up with anything good or interesting I'll upload it.
