  • I'm not sure what I did, and even if this is a solution to the problem, but on line 2, change

    Set UID_CommonArray to BaseArray.UID

    to

    Set UID_CommonArray to BaseArray.UID + 1

  • It's for my rotary compo game, the level is made on photoshop, and is round. Here's a picture of a level:

    <img src="http://i.imgur.com/h9b6N.png" border="0" />

    Left: the level

    Right: what I'm doing now

I have to create a sprite for each shape, import into construct, set the polygons and cover the level with them.

So, right now I have 32 collision objects on a level (12 unique, the rest are instances) and each has 4~8 vertices

  • The object is static, but the layout is rotating

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Just simple non-physics collision between the player and the objects

  • What is more cpu-intensive: 100 objects with 4 polygon points, or one object with 400 points?

  • Bem-vindo, mas na prxima, use o tpico oficial de apresentao ;)

Welcome, but next time post on the official "introduce yourself" topic

  • Every tick > Set cursor to Normal

Cursor over gotadagua > Set to hand

Cursor over novojogo > Set to hand

    Each is a separate event

(BR) Cada linha um evento separado

In CC I would have more than 10,000 objects at a time and no FPS drop. Is this because of my PC, which is pretty good, or C2 can't handle as many objects?

  • C2 will probably never export swf, but I could be wrong

C2 currently exports in HTML5, a platform that is becoming more and more important, and soon will be as popular as flash. I believe all these websites will be accepting HTML5 games sooner or latter (I know Krongregate does already)

CC is better to make windows games, and bigger projects. Its more advanced than C2, but has a lot of bugs (CC might crash easily, so you should save your project often)

  • so set force to 500-distance?

Better be max(500-distance,0) so you don't get pulled away if farther than 500

  • Hum that's interesting... so you're suggesting that we shouldn't have to have an instance of every object on the layout for it to exist. I agree with you, as we have the "Objects" bar with all the objects there, so why do we need it on the layout also?

  • I still use CC for my bigger projects, C2 is pretty much a mini-game maker so far
