  • darn, i dont have the newest version of Construct... :/

The newest stable release is HERE: https://www.scirra.com/construct2/releases/r244

There should be no reason for you not to upgrade to this version.

  • Why have you created a new thread for this when you already have an active thread here?

  • > It says that X3M is a banned user. Is this true? Also I don't see Babylon 3d on the store anymore.

    >

Can please Tom or Ashley explain what happened here?

Look at his profile. That gives the reason I suspect.

  • why do the links not work?

Probably because this thread is 7 years old and is in the - now retired - Constuct Classic section.

If you still want the OP's .cap for an out of date piece of software, then you may have to rely on someone having an old backup.

  • Hey guys!

I made a pretty fun game called "ARR-MAGEDON" for 1$ challenge. Basically, the rules of the challenge are to make a game and earn 1$ off it in just 2 weeks. I managed to create the game that I'm really proud of, I learned a lot during development time and I recommend to also try it yourself <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile">. Unfortunately, I got only 2 days left to earn this 1$ <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz">. Here's something about the game:

    TRAILER: https://youtu.be/FPOCuwxebfo

"ARR-MAGEDON" is extremely fun and fast-paced pirate arcade game in which you are the pirate caught in the middle of the sea hell!

Avoid the cannonballs and fire, survive huge firestorms and panic attacks of your crew!

Collect gold and buy items from wizard merchant to survive longer.

Pick up multipliers to increase your score and show those pesky crusaders what do you think about them.

Does this mean you made a double post?

If so, why not just delete it. That is what the icons ('X' to delete) in the post header are for.

  • Hello!

I know this has been discussed countless times, ogg is not supported in html5 exports and that is fine,

but I read here music-dont-work-under-edge_t152506 that:

[quote:3t7e60ph]Construct 2 will automatically encode the AAC files (.m4a) for you, ensuring IE + Edge compatibility for audio.

When exactly does this conversion happen?

Does it actually include the .m4a files in the export or does it convert the .ogg sounds on the fly after downloading the assets?

My issue is that HTML5 builds that use .ogg files attempt to download the music as .m4a in the url. These files obviously don't exist in the build so playing music on Edge doesn't work.

The majority of what you are asking is covered here:https://www.scirra.com/manual/52/import-audio

As the manual states, C2 will encode both ogg and .m4a files if the file imported is a .wav and your OS is Windows 7 and above.

You can also use software such as Audacity to encode and convert between formats prior to import.

  • i create animation in adobe flash and spriter. how to import to construct project?

. what is all object to use in construct? how to use object with event sheet? where is animation import option? what is data store, general?

Please read the manual. Many of your questions will be answered for you.

Construct 2 does not support Flash.

All the information and links needed for Spriter can be found here:https://www.scirra.com/forum/spriter-c2-4-5-bug-fix_t75748?&hilit=spriter

  • One of the features I would love to have is animated tilemaps.

Making a level with a tilemap is really efficient. However, having even the most basic of animations would make any game look awesome. After playing a few games on the NES, I realized that having an animated tilemap would be essential.

How do we implement this idea?

I think the best way to do it would be to select several squares on a tile map and have the game animate those squares. Once the animation is set, there could be a colored box around it. For each animation, there would be a colored box surrounding all tiles in the animation.

    Just a thought.

This suggestion has already been made here:https://construct3.ideas.aha.io/ideas/C3-I-53

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • i just start use construct 2 first time because i want to create game. how to programming? how to add media bundle wr97endk23d.zip to construct?

The media bundle is just a zip file of assets and can be unzipped to whatever location you want. You can then import in to a project as required.

This is all covered in the manual.

I recommend you go through built in examples and then try the full How to Make a Platform Game tutorial by Ashley.

This should give you a good understanding of the Event system and how to use Conditions and Actions.

  • For me, an hour long game is taking a year to make.

    BobOfAMillion

Did you really intend to post in a 6 year old thread in the - now retired - Construct Classic section in response to a user who hasn't visited this forum for over 3 years?
