I'm not an employee of Scirra but I would have thought this was obvious.

If you have a license that gives you full access to all the features and export options, then it stands to reason that the license is valid from the purchase date.

So I would have to buy the business license?

And if I use the personal license, and my brother is using it and I'm in another location and also use the account, what happens?

Such a question that basically asks about piracy and how Scirra security would know is not going to be discussed on this forum.

The personal license is for you only, just as it is for C2 personal license holders.

Rather than bumping a 4 year old thread, you should have started your own.

Have you followed the instruction that are in the manual HERE for installing the license?

If so, and it still isn't working, then email who will be happy to help you.

I need to gain the knowledgeof how to back up my project so that I may use it if my project gets corrupted.

The manual covers this HERE. This will explain the autosave and autobackup preference options.

You can also manually save your project at anytime to any device - cloud, usb, external drive, etc.

Bit of a strange query!?

Generally, users who ask for assistance will get a response within 24 hours (users are from many different time zones) as long as they follow the How Do I posting guidelines.

Basically, as long as a user doesn't just ask for a full working example after showing no attempt then they will get a positive response.

Many users ask for help with AI so this would be a much welcomed addition. Nice work.

I just bought Construct 2 Personal, and I dowloaded the bundle and extracted it, but when I open up the License file called "license.txt."

An error message shows up saying,

I'm using the latest release of Construct 2 and I didn't make any changes in my license file.

Your license file is called "c2license.txt" rather than "license.txt" so you are selecting the wrong file.

Try re-downloading the license from the https://www.scirra.com/store/downloads section of the store.
