  • Have you tried Project settings: point sampling, pixel rounding, letterbox integer scale.

  • I can't drag the red sprite and the sprite font doesn't have a sprite object.

Are you sure this is the correct .capx that shows the problem you describe?

  • Just try any image that isn't larger than 2046, even a placeholder image, just to see if that's the problem. It can't hurt anything, but it would at least give you an idea if that's where the problem may be.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Best bet is to try a clean install.

Uninstall current C2, reboot, then move or delete (just move if you want to keep existing plugins) the remnants of the previous C2 installation. This is to clear out any possible corrupt or broken plugins.

If at all possible, see if there is any updates to your OS and graphics card.

Install either r168 or r171 and open one of the templates. Try duplicating a Layout.

If it still crashes, then there is more than likely something amiss with the OS or graphic drivers, but that would need a full OS rebuild to fully check, which is wouldn't be nice.

Others may have other ideas, but considering how many users use C2, and this hasn't been reported before, it's more than likely an issue with your system.

  • Unfortunately I'm on r171, but I can say that it doesn't crash when I duplicate a Layout (I assume you meant Layout rather than Layer).

Have you tried re-installing, or even try the latest beta?

  • Firstly, are you using the very latest build, currently r171, available from the bottom of this page?

When you select export and choose 'Scirra Arcade', the resulting .zip must be less than 10MB.

As long as you're not using non-standard plugins, then it should be OK. Using the free version is not a problem for the Arcade.

  • Have a read through the following thread to see if it's what you're after:

  • Just a quick thought...

Ashley has often stated that most graphic cards cannot handle images greater than 2046 x 2046. Have you tried resizing the actual image first before importing, or even within the Image Editor?

  • Useful manual entry: https://www.scirra.com/manual/75/how-events-work

Also, if you press right mouse on a condition block, you will see options such as 'Make OR' and 'Add Else'.

In combination with sub-events, you can create almost any combination of AND, AND/OR, Else etc.

  • It has bullet behavior, so when you want to stop it, set bullet speed = 0. To move it again, set speed to whatever value you wish.

What you are asking is comparable to buying a game like COD, GoW or any game for that matter and asking the developers if it's OK to change the graphics and sell it as your own work.

What do you think the answer would be to that?

  • Just create object at outside of layout with random Y parameter, give it bullet behavior, and when it reaches a particular negative y value, destroy it.

Not exactly awake at the moment, but is this something like you want (requires r168 or greater):
