You can alter the order of the Layouts and aslo stipulate which Layout will be the first one when the game starts, all covered in the manual.
I think at one time early adopters only could have both licenses, I do not know if they provide that service for everyone having a license (pretty sure they don't but email them).
True. I was given a steam key because I was an early adopter - not that I ever used it though (hate steam).
You don't specify what version of C2 you are using. If it's r213, then it's a known bug. If not r213, then can you compile any other project?

Use a free hosting such as Dropbox, Google or MicroS**t drive. The attachment system on here was broken a while ago and is awaiting a fix.
Without seeing the tilemap and .capx it is nearly impossible to say.
Have you set the Tilemap properties correctly? How big is the TileMap?
Are you using the actual Button object? If so, are you using the correct 'Button - On Clicked' condition?
I would say no.
The two purchasing methods are entirely separate, done by separate companies.
