  • I'm definitely liking the idea of it. There are a bunch of PSP games I never got to play and probably one or two Vita games I'd be interested in. $100 is definitely more manageable than the full price of a PS Vita for me. Especially since if I wanted a handheld I'd go with the 3DS XL, because Smash Bros.

It's looking like it can be a nice box to have around the home as well as pick up and take with you if going somewhere you know you'll have access to a tv/monitor.

I wonder though. Will you be able to play local multplayer on it on PS2/PSX titles? Will it allow more than one controller? If not, then the value of it kinda drops for me.

  • With my being a huge Megaman-fan, I had to draw Beck.

I'm not done with it yet, still trying to figure out how to apporach the bg and such.

(This is also my second outing at working completely in FireAlpaca.)

    Edit:

Currently working on a new sprite.

  • I've actually been wondering about something. Doesn't feel like it warrants it's own thread, so I'll just post it here, even though it's only tangentially related.

Ashley - Regarding the approval you got to develop for WiiU. Was that approval for Nintendo development in general (i.e. both WiiU and 3DS) and you just focused on WiiU in the announcement, or was it really only for WiiU?

  • Congrats NotionGames.

I think the likelihood of the PS4 supporting HTML5 is high. It is a next-gen console and I bet they'll want to futureproof is as best they can, and that would include HTML5 support. But you never know with these things.

  • Since I've got it both regular and on Steam, I tend to keep my Steam version vanilla and the other one (that I actually use regularly) up to date with beta's. So that's a solution, if you've got both.

That said, I kinda agree with zenox98. Issues with the beta releases are usually resolved pretty darn fast so I never feel the need to not keep C2 up to date. Only exception would be if there's a breaking change in a beta. But you'd have to deal with that once it goes stable anyway. So that point is kinda moot by default.

  • And exactly what purpose would this section serve that the current profile page doesn't? You're not explaining what you mean by it.

  • If you want a different avatar you need to make an account on gravatar and assign the avatar from there.

As for website feature. What exactly do you mean? There's already a section in the profile for adding a website link. If you need more you can put them in the "About Me" section.

For future reference, break up your text in paragraphs when you go to another topic/thought (like I've done here). Makes it much more inviting to read and thus more likely to get a response.

  • When you get a chance, could you make it an option to toggle the debug window to the SIDE of the browser in addition to its initial nestled point lengthwise at the bottom?

Would like to second this. Since a lot of the information is listed vertically, having the debugger on the side of the screen makes more sense. Of course, it could be optional, or even modular.

    • Ability to run the debugger when previewing a Node-Webkit project
    • Ability to view values from more than one object simultaneously. Crossreferencing values on this is currently not doable, and text objects on the layout is still a better solution for it.
    • Ability to set up what variables and values you want to debug beforehand so that it's focused on that from the start.
  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I doubt a pub will be a conducive environment to host a stream from. First, you'd need to find a pub that'd be ok with it. Then you'd have to consider the other pubgoers. It's frankly more hassle than it's worth, if you ask me.

Keeping it small and informal is a good idea. Doesn't have to be a one-off thing either. Could be every once in a while.

  • Liking the debugger so far. I'm betting there are lots left to add to it.

One thing though, it's not working with Node-Webkit previews currently. It's not really a big issue, but it'd be nice to be able to run the debugger on a Node-Webkit preview as well.

  • Sounds like a fun idea.

Currently it's not possible for me. But I might be looking at working in the UK if things go right. If so I'd be around an hour or so away from London. Then I'd be completely onboard, obviously.
