  • Sounding better all the time. Hope you can make C2 into a fulltime job after uni. That would bring a lot of confidence to the community if you can get donations or selling exporters. Happy to pay customer here.

  • Its great seeing how this community supports one another and it will continue to grow for long time with this release.

  • Ubuntu was a nice OS several releases back, but I found after every major release they'll break or change something that was once working perfectly well. I found it a constant battle to fix. I prefer centos(redhat) for stability despite not having the bells and whistles of other newer distros.

  • Cool just what I was looking for. I was making a flash effect by swapping sprite animation frames to white which works for sprites with no animation but realised that any sprite with animation would make it tricky.

  • These apps are useful.

I try to use freeware where I can but sometimes I've had to buy a commercial application to get things done faster and has sometimes been the only way.

  • I saw it last week for the fist time and thought it was great.

  • Thank you

  • Hi,

Hi pap560 I wouldnt normally comment on a thread like this but Id say to you keep it up and see where it goes for you. Even if you dont sell anything for a while at least youve created an asset, and improved your skills you can use towards a portfolio for any future prospective employer. There is still demand for 2d sprite artists for mobile gaming and such. You can always try your hand at 3d also.

My suggestion. That particular sprite animation isnt something I would use in my games so you would probably want to think about better to targeting your sprite creation skills by finding out what people may want first. I think the value you offer is not the spite you create but your ability to create good quality relevant sprites people will pay for.

    Good luck

  • thanks for the info and suggestion. There are 10 tiles. I deleted all but 5, then 4, and flickering issue rears it's head each time. I'll do some more tests with different files.

  • But each background tile image is 512x512 positioned next to each other in one long row and works on a range of other GPU's? I've tried it on newer ATI workstation card and it works without glitches. I guess it's just that model of card or the driver on the system is corrupt.

I wonder, is there away to detect what the GPU is in a system and deny or print a warning in the application window?

Anyway going to try it on a gforce and radeon card over the weekend which is more akin to what its targeted.
