    Actually those shadows are sprites which I forgot to remove before compiling. I was trying to adapt them based on where the light is, but failed miserably...

    By the way, my user name is my real life name!

  • earlier in this thread davo posted his exe's with it. it does what the video does, so your lightsource can go behind objects

    I thought it was included in the latest 99.82 version of construct

    So it's already built in? Sweet. I'll be sure to check it out in the morning (since it's bloody 2:30am here in Australia...)

    are you planning to upgrade it now with the new bumpmapping3d effect?

    I've never heard of bumpmapping3d, so if you can point my towards where I can download the effect it'll be great. About upgrading, I'll try if it isn't too much of a hassle, but this was more a 'proof of concept' then anything else. Maybe I'll incorporate it in a next game, since it doesn't fit in my current one at all.

    Using your plugin (height map plus) I was able to create something that looks semi decent. Nowhere near the level of what was posted by it does create a nice 3D effect, similar to David's.

  • I've been ignoring these tutorials ever since they broke from that one version way back and little did I know that they actually work now... the intermediate AI lesson is just what I need to finally get my enemies to move around as intended and it's much simpler than my crappy method (involving RTS and platforming).

  • I just encountered an issue using the 'Object Overlaps Point' command where it seems to only detect an overlap with only one instance of a sprite instead of all. I replicated the bug and posted the cap where I explain it in more detail. I'm pretty adamant the command isn't working as intended, but I may be overlooking something very simple and approaching it incorrectly.

    I'll also upload it to the bug tracker shortly.
