  • The 3D effect is awesome, the cars rotate so smoothly it almost seems real 3D. As for the camera it's extremly desorienting, keep the same angle and just give it a few tilts here and there to give a bit more action.

You should work heavily on the graphics though, when do you intend on releasing the game?

  • That'd be cool to create 'diferent camera perspectives'. Yes it will have allways that look, but in the end it's up to the developer to take advantage of that effect and apply it in the artstile of the game. You could do a game where the world made in paper for instance, then the buildings could look cool like that.

  • It's not isometric though, it's just top view. In order to be isometric (even if not ortographic) you have to allways see the side of the object that is facing down. If I go above the object in your example, I see the side of the object that is facing up.

    Isometric:

    Still a well achieved effect.

Music: Excerpt from "Hand in Mine" - Explosions In the Sky (Not actual game soundtrack)

Jorney through the Cave of Black as a small ball of ink. Try to avoid obstacles and destroy those that can't be avoided by shooting ink at them. Collect as much ink as you can and last as long as possible, so that you can get an high-score to make you proud of.

Levels are generated based on the way you play, each playthrough will be diferent.

  • Haha (Einstein doesn't understand gamedesign xP)

I tried to add accelaration but the bullets end up being too fast.

    Have you tried the capx?

  • Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a spaceship shooting game, and I've stumbled on a problem.

The ship shoots lasers toward the mouse.

When I shoot while being stopped, the lasers go on the right direction (as shown on the image below):

However, if I'm moving and I shoot, the lasers will stay behind like shown below.

I know that's what would normally happen, but it doesn't work very well for a game, since the player can't aim correctly to enemies. How can I fix it?

You can download the capx if you wish.

  • Hello, I'm currently working on a platformer and I'm coming accross an issue.

What I need is simple. I need the player to jump higher if I keep the jump button pressed longer. (press quickly ->small jump; press longer ->big jump)

In Construct classic you could do this easily, though they've taken these option in Construct2, don't know why, unless I'm missing something.

Can someone help me on this?

    Thank you.

  • O dammit, I don't know what I did but it was suposed to be in the How do I section. I even though I had forgotten to post the topic since I could find it lol.

    Anyway thaks for the warning.

That's not quite what I wanted but I ended up solving it on my own, thanks ;)

  • Hell, It's been quite a while since I've used construct and I'm not really good at programing or any kind of coding.

I'd like to ask if anyone could help me with this:

    <img src="http://i36.tinypic.com/2s622w1.png" border="0" />

What I want is for the smiley face while keeping it's x postion change it's y position according to a path drawn by the mouse.

The obstacles will be moving towards the player and you kinda have to draw your way through them.

Anyone can help me on this?

    Thanks

  • It worked

It still does it a little bit sometimes but it's much better now.

    Thanks
