  • Hm, what about reading a single data file on HDD and storing it in RAM entirely, then retrieving compressed images from that image on request? Sort of like .zip file with all images stored in RAM. I figure that'd require a plugin.

  • If you are working on a major project, make sure to do backups each iteration. You never know when a nasty bug might creep in. Anything is theoretically possible in Construct, as long as you invest time and effort.

    Just look at SoldjahBoy's Tonks project, he's still bashing his head against it after... a year?

  • As a workaround you could create the object at 0 and then move it to proper coordinates. See if that works. If not, you probably need to set the physics properties; I'm sure there was a world size defined somewhere.

    Edit: images are not working - you should use public links, not private. Select the image, right click, copy public link.

  • Group them with enemies as containers, then the event:

    For each enemy > place the bar over their heads (X=0, Y=-32 or something).

  • Hmm, maybe it has to do with destroying sprites before doing actions on them in the same tick. Check the ordering in event sheet; if the sprite is destroyed at start of sheet and stuff happens to the same sprite in other events, that may be a problem.

    It is just a theory, though. You can try moving the destroy stuff to end of the sheet.

    That would be because your CPU doesn't support SSE2. 0.99.84 contains the fix that makes it work on such systems

  • As I recall, there is a crash bug with transitions.
