  • Funny how I'm thinking of those aspect too everyday. You're not from BN UK by any chance?

  • Hi, Thanks for help! :D

Sorry for late replay but my network died for whole day yesterday!

  • Hi, sure, I will pm you the code.

  • Hi, thanks.

So this is a mistake on my part, yeah? I don't know what it might be. At this stage I'm already passed 'mapgen' function and I'm calling other functions.

However maybe 'mapgen' function is on infinite loop? It's currently looks like this:

    function 'mapgen'

       - do something

-if conditions match then call function 'mapgen'

Any suggestions how I could stop that if in did it could be on the loop?

    Thanks

  • That's why I'm suggesting to have options, as options in settings. Maybe choosing a colour with colour ppicker would be best solution if someone would for example want it to be red colour.

  • Thanks, you too. By metaphor do you mean a gameplay mechanics for the mobile?

So your system is for post apocalyptic rpg?

Well is it difficult or not depends on your own take on it. I can tell you from my experience that if you don't approach it as difficult, but rather with attitude that it is simple but might be challenging, then the only thing that stands between you and the finished rpg are how you plan it in advance and how much time you are willing to put in to it. Also on the side note can't wait for your finished game! :)

TO be completely frank with you, 95% of your game sounds like the game I'm developing now. Even for the same mobile related reasons. Shocker. I guess I will have to come up with more new ideas now that will differentiate it from yours!

  • It's not hard, just time consuming. So you're making an rpg. That's really cool. Could you say more about yourself?

  • Yeah, being able to select opacity or shade of gray would do, as the effect would be the same. My problem with toggled items is that they are blending with the active code to much and unless you focus your sight on it you're not sure if its toggled or not. That's why being able to have those lines grayed out would let you ignore it unless you would want to double check it. Does it make sense? :)

  • Hi,

    I wander what this means:

[Construct 2] Function object: in function 'mapgen', accessed parameter out of bounds (accessed index 0, 0 params available)

I see it in the console. At this stage function 'mapgen' shouldn't be active, but because I don't understand this I am a bit confused. Could someone explain this?

    Thanks

  • You got to imagine why we the players would like to play your game and tell us about it because we don't know why we want to play something unless we know more about it :)
