No, you really can't use the last 500mb/1gb of RAM in a 32 bit system - the actual memory addresses are assigned to VRAM, other system devices, etc. so any physical RAM you install beyond this point will go completely unused.

Yeah it's a limitation of 32 bit architechture. When I said it uses it as a ram drive, I meant it will allocate it to things like virtual memory, vram, and system cache. It still "uses" it, but Windows doesn't "use" it.

Also, I have experienced lots of crashes with opening cap files on my big rig, but only when SLI is enabled. If I turn SLI off, it will open without a hitch. Weird.

I have to agree... I have already come across this with Chamber. I had to manually reverse all the frames and reinsert them for the opposing directions, because for some reason the auto mirror function didn't work properly, and mirroring each frame using the animation editor in Construct mangles the resolution of the images and made them look "chunky".

In fact, I was bored last night and my wife was using the laptop, so I started redoing that ship in my sketch book. Once I finish it I will scan it or take a photo or something and put it up here so you can check it out.

I've been kinda flat out with Chamber recently as you are probably aware... and work has been super busy for a change. I'll get there though

OK so I just checked out the engine revision that Deadeye sent me, and it's making progress nicely. I will take the next couple of days to try and redesign the main character with some sketches, so I can then start working on redoing the entire character from scratch.

Since this project is becoming a little more serious than I originally intended, a fully original character would be the way to go in terms of really making a game. Certain animation sequences will be very similar in order to keep the mechanics the same, but none the less it will be all freehand and fresh. I will submit a character sketch once it's done and Deadeye is happy with it to give you guys some insight into what her new look will be.

Hang tight... the demo won't be far away at this rate, but the final version may be further away than originally anticipated.

And yes I am OK! We had a public holiday and stuff, so I had like a mega extended weekend thing going on there... out of the last 7 days I have only worked like 3 days lol... Now back to the grind stone! I tend to post mainly from work when I'm bored (such as right now for example).

And yes deadeye... a running roll move would be super cool.

And yes, the sprites are an edit (at this stage). I am seriously considering replacing her with a completely custom sprite though... but it can wait until much later at this stage... once the game engine hits v1.0 and we start doing level designs, I may hit up my animation studio and start making a completely custom character. I have a superb idea with which I will PM deadeye about later.... and the rest of you can just wonder what the fock it is
