  • I haven't used MMF since 1.5, Construct has some serious advantages over MMF including but not limited to:

Open source :: Anyone can jump in and help.

Free :: Don't waste your money on "click" products.

Directx :: For MMF you have to use a new plugin.

And many more, i also find Construct a lot easier to use, the event editor is simple and to the point...and it makes sense!

    [ADD] - Canvas resize action

    YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit > After trying it the canvas seems to dissapear on resize in my app, and i tried it on a blank app as well simply had a rather large canvas on layout load resize to 50x50 and poof it dissapears.

  • Looks waaaaaaaay better, good work.

  • it's already in 99.72 liam

    No it's not.

I hear tell there is a Canvas Resize action in the next build... don't tell anyone I told you

You're kidding? As i have been banging on about it for what seems like a year now, trying workarounds (none of which work by the way) as the height and width i say it again only stretch an object not actually resize.

I really hope it gets in!!!!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Bumping again....

  • It'd still need some form of sound support, input, and maybe timers. At least, if the goal is to make a runtime on systems other than Windows. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't OpenGL only deal with graphics?

I am pretty sure you are correct, would need to use an open sound system. OpenAL?

  • OpenGL would be too much work for the devs i'm sure they stated that before, would be ideal if they used it for 2.0 though.

  • I'm all for it. It's not the ideal export format nor is it really meant for games, but it's still multiplatform.

Exactly my point and for application developers it does the perfect job for cross-platform.

For an application that works with graphics well hardware accelaration with opengl would be the ideal solution and it IS possible.

  • It'd just import the graphics/animations and resources from an old .cap, which is pretty much as far as it could go without some significant work.

Even that in itself would be pretty good since i doubt that would sacrafice anything for the newer versions operations.

  • A quick google tells me that it can be, so i don't see why people say it is so slow if it is hardware accelerated, i've never really found it to be slow either.
