  • Apart from all this discussion, this just isn't going to happen to construct within the next 2 years anyway (i would think).

    Its a nice idea, but Ashley has so much to do on construct at the moment anyway, and he's doing it mainly by himself. Perhaps if construct took off and had loads of devs (like blender3d) then different aspects would be developed by certain devs, and possibly a group would be interested in this idea etc.

  • Will update you shortly on how stable I find this build.

    EDIT1 - It just crashed when i tried to close a project. I had 3 open. Its definately getting there though. A bug I sent Ashley has been fixed in this build even though i dont think he took a look at it. which is good news.

    EDIT 2 - Been using for another 30 mins now. I simply love this program. Seems stable at the moment. Only time will tell.

    EDIT 3 - I now have an un-runnable program. Yays. Sending to Ashley...

    EDIT 4 - Deleted everything in the frame and it still crashes! Woah <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />

  • If MK doesn't come back (:O) then you should seriously concider making an online plugin Ashley. I'm not JUST saying this because i need it, but I have seen on facepunch etc. that people say they wont use Construct until after it gets networking.

    Although I think MK will come back.

  • BUT that would be absolutely incredible. And some kind of shrine would need to be setup for you.

    Maybe its a shame you choose to develop it in DirectX over OpenGL at the start.. But hey, by the time i finish my game all kinds of crazy updates will have happened <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" />

  • I think construct is meant to be "no coding needed". But I've been working with that for years now I'm im definately interested in putting some "real" code in my apps. But learning from scratch is quite depressing <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" />

    I think this sounds awesome.

    If no-one can be bothered but its still in high demand I'll have a look at making one.

  • You MUST save each new version of your game seperately. Each time i save i increment the version of my game, this way if something gets corrupt, you don't lose much.

    This shouldn't stop you from using construct. Its not too buggy now, just a couple of things need fixing.

    And rest assured that ashley will fix it within a version. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" />

  • Hi there,

    I can't remember how this happened, but my construct went a bit mental so I saved it and re-opened. Now the layouts have no names and its generally being unstable. I can't seem to rename them so its getting a bit confused i think.

    Can I privately send Ashley the example as it contains some of my project's graphics.
