  • he did post a cap file

  • if I've made a quite large image in photoshop or something, if I'm importing it into Construct I presume it would be best to break the image up into separate images of maybe 512 x 512 or something? Or should I make them smaller?

  • I'm not sure about Quazi's design, looks nice although it seems more like an advertisement rather than a long term site. The Big C logo seems very detached visually from 'construct', I think the 'onstruct' may need a bit more experimentation.

  • Don't you think it would be useful to visually represent where the resolution of the window would be in the layout editor? Maybe it could show a dotted line or something, to show the window size in the layout.

This could be useful for when you're trying to make hud objects and in-game menus, so you know where to place and how big they'll be in your massive level.

  • thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, it seems like giving them a couple of choices would be the best idea at start up.

  • thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!

I guess theres loads of people who have laptops out there, with tiny little screens!

    is 1280 x 600 a real resolution? doesn't seem like its the right ratio. Wouldn't it be 1280 x 800 instead?

  • yeah that could be useful in the event editor where you have different coloured expression things like MMF2s, I think they call it syntax or something, not sure.

  • I guess it may be problematic, if you remove a bone that had loads of other bones attached to it, then they'd all have to die.

  • according to

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution

    Resolution % of Internet Users

    ----------------------------------------

    Higher than 1024768, 57%

    1024768, 36%

    800600, 4%

    Lower than 800600, < 1%

    Unknown, 3%

    -----------------------------------------

So maybe its best to make games 800 x 600 then.

  • When making a fullscreen game, would be wise to have a size of something like 1024768 as the standard resolution of the game? Since most people seem to use that size or larger, however then the game will appear stretched for widescreen users, do you think it matters? Or should there be an option to change the resolution of the game so that it fits nicely on most monitors?

  • If I delete the leg (calf) it will disappear and the foot (that was attached to that limb) will just stop when the leg is deleted. But everything else continues normally.

    That is what happens!
