I updated Construct 2 to beta 274 and the same problem happened, in both videos I used the same project and did the exact same thing and on the first try Construct 2 was closed.

So I hope it is clear where the problem occurs and can be resolved, it is very annoying that this problem has arisen in recent months and several times lost a lot of time to redo because the engine closed out of nowhere.

Only now in the afternoon, Construct 2 has closed at least 20 times, with a huge desire to uninstall the tool so angry that it is causing me.

It always happens to close when I make a change in the image editor, closes when I create a new animation, closes when I delete some frame, closes when I try to move an animation to an animation directory of the tool itself, has closed even when I just changed the speed of the animation. animation.

This is ridiculous, there is something in the image editor that must be causing an error and terminating the application.

This has happened from versions above 250 if I'm not mistaken.

Now I will have to install a very old version of the engine, otherwise I just won't be able to deliver a job.

I am very disappointed with the engine.

Once again, it's difficult to make progress if people don't mention which version they are using. The latest version is r274. Did you test that version? Is it still occurring there or is it fixed?

I hope this is not a deliberate mistake to force people to migrate to C3.

I tried following these steps 3 times in a row in the same project and it worked fine. However no starting project was provided, so I just used the Ghost Shooter tutorial version and cloned the player.

I'm afraid unless there's a way I can observe the issue, which is best achieved by finding reliable steps to reproduce the problem, then it will be extremely difficult to make any progress on this issue.

This problem usually happens when there are sprites with many animations on the screen.

Just now "here in Brazil" in less than 30 minutes, closed 3 times exactly when I sent save.

I have plenty of setup to work with any project in the engine.

Working on a pixel art project, I don't even remember how many times it closed, but in the "images are much bigger" vector project, it closes several times.

We've been releasing some updates recently in an attempt to address this, but unfortunately without reliable steps to reproduce the problem, or at least some indication of what might cause the problem (e.g. settings that make the problem go away or otherwise fix it), there is virtually nothing we can do. I still have absolutely nothing to go on right now.

    The problems occur basically.

When we are editing an animation, c2 closes randomly, so to get to work I am editing some frames, closing, saving the project, then coming back to edit what I need.

Another way the problem occurs is when I am editing some event in the event sheet, but this is much rarer.

  • The graphics I didn't do, I took itch itself

In principle, with version 271 it seems that it has been fixed.

    Only in my case.

I need to wait for the stable release, as some plugins I use mysteriously only work on the stable version of the engine.

It happened a lot with version 269, so I decided to use 267, it happens less often, but it still happens.

At first I believed it was related to the size of the video memory used, but with small projects and pixel art images, the same error still occurs.

I've been used to always saving projects for a long time, but it's extremely annoying that the engine is closing all the time.

I use only the stable version of C2

Currently using Steam Construct 2 is becoming unbearable, I am working on a project, I will save, C2 closes, I will drag an object, C2 closes, this happens several times during the day.

Using the version outside of Steam happens a few times, but still happens.

Is Scirra purposely worsening the C2 experience of selling C3 signatures?

I want to believe that not, but if it is, this will be very bad for the company image.

  • Open the project in Visual Studio.

2-click the "package.appxmanifest" file, then click "marshaling." The error is about the project version.
