  • Hey guys,

    im currently trying make a little project for testing purposes with Construct 3.

    Im not into Server/MySQL or communication between app/device and server or what ever its needed for this kind of stuff.

    What i want to archieve is a simple offline currency.

    I dont think i have to add more details to it.

    I just want to prevent players from changing the date/time on their device, so cheating wouldn't be that easy.

    So, what do i need and can someone link me to some kind of tutorials?

    so i just saw the game "iamscared", using all those cool stuff like creating textfiles and interacting with it. Now i was wondering if this is possible without big knowledge in CC (btw im not talking about making a 3d game like it).

    Is there a way to let the game create a text file without any knowledge in scripting ?

    i just know how to create a directory, but not if its possible to create a textfile that needs to be readed after creating. I tried textmanipulator, but i get crashes as soon as it is triggered, so i dont know if this would be the way to make it possible.

    Or is there optional even a way to make the text file myself and just make it visible as soon as i need it ?

  • Greetings.

    So im on a platformer project and try to get the wrap working. But for some reasons, my sprites arent on the position on the preview where i see them while im in the editor. Both the background and the ground sprite has the wrap behavior. If i create the sprites, theres no problem at all, as soon they recieve the wrap, the problem appears. If i remove the behavior again, its still there. So my question is, does someone know what causes the problem ?

    the thing is, i have a main project with sprites only.

    But sometimes i have an idea which i may want to include so i start an extra project to play around with events / 3D Boxes. I wasnt about to do a complete game this way but i thought i could look funny, so i tried.

    and i got this working like u just did, but i wanted to do this with 3d box collision only. T

    he red sprite was only made for the pipes.

    So again, thx for help.

    I call this problem solved =)

    and btw, it wont be my last shout for help so be aware ;D

    im trying some stuff and had the idea to create a super mario clone( just to play around with events and stuff) with 3d boxes.

    I got a 3d box for the player and want to break the bricks as soon as the top of my player box hit the bottom of the brick block. But for some reason it destroys every brick that is a.: in a row together or b.: connected together.

    Not sure about that but can someone help me there ?

    but this is the easiest way, i dont know if this works with my settings since my enemys get spawned at random times. Or does it trigger every time a enemy is created ?

  • thx for the answer but if i try to open it, it says it was made in a newer version of construct and cannot be open.

    I also checked for updates via "check for updates" inside the programm and the newest version is r1.2 :/

    i checked the object count threads to find a solution to my problem but it just dont works for me.

    i need a simple counter event

    Every random seconds will create an enemy, now want every single enemy add once 1 to my global "current enemys" var.

    Every enemy is exactly the same sprite, i tried it with the familie thingy but i cant get into it.

    so i heard something like:

    1. For each "enemy" -

    *subevent* Trigger once - add 1 to global variable XXX

    ----

    i also tried alot of other stuff but i just keep failing on this.

    now i have the feeling as soon as the second enemy is created, the trigger once event is broken and every 1 or few MS it adds another 1 to my global var.

    Would be nice if u could help me there. And if this is the case, pls make go more into detail like i did for the events

  • well move at angle isnt aviable for me or CC in generell.

    Now i tried something else and it kinda works exepct for the distance. Maybe you could help me fix this instead.

    i just made it like this: Create "enemy" on layer 1 at "X: Random(1280) Y: random(720)" and they spawn just like i want, expect for the distance.
