  • Wowo nice work, an inspiration to a noob like me. Please post more previews!

  • Fellow Construct enthusiasts, we have determined what our projected release schedule is and are working furiously to be able to stick to it.

Brood will be released as follows:

2 Jan 2015 - Open alpha on web browser, some features limited, most gameplay mechanics implemented, missions and achievements not implemented. Should be available until or even well after release on mobile.

15 Jan 2015 - Selective Beta, mostly feature complete. We would like people that are really interested to request access, and we will provide them links to the game on web, or installer for android. We ask that those who wish to help us beta test make use of the Facebook integration we want in the game for achievements and sharing "Breeds"

1 Feb 2015 - Release on Play store if possible

    Game features include:

Completely free to play. Ad free as well - hopefully, we hate ads. (Considered monetization by optional coin purchases)

Over 443 thousand possible visual combinations of creatures (Calculated from current number of assets)

Breed new monsters by mating two monsters, whose genes will carry on to the next generation.

Mutate and manipulate genes to create brand new breeds

Feed and keep your monsters happy using items bought in the shop.

Make coin by selling "Pure-Bred" monsters, or completing requests for specific monsters.

5 different "Biomes" to unlock and play in

Monsters act organically, roaming around and falling into water, and sometimes getting into fights.

Achievements to unlock and brag about

Sharing your unique breeds on Facebook/twitter or whatever social media we can integrate

Possible future feature could be Trading your monsters with friends.

Please follow this topic so you can get the links as soon as we publish for testing

PM Po10c to request Beta access, or pre-alpha if you are experienced with game publishing and advice. Thank you all!

Thank you for responding as per my previous post, please give me a way to get hold of you, I'm new here and still working hard to get my reputation up, pity about the Pirate Princess, lolz.

Anyways, regarding the idea for the game. I was and still am a little nervous posting the full concept, and I know the art as above is not really well... enticing.

So I'm going to make a post in the game development "crafting" section explaining the concept in full (caution to the wind, this is my first game after all.) I also intend to hopefully soon display some properly crafted game assets.

FYI, I'm NOT looking for someone to build the game for me, I want to be Hands On, but I realize that I'm a total idiot when it comes to game logic. I'm also still learning to work with the construct 2 interface. I basically just want to enjoy the game making process as part of a team, a Harry to my Sally.

PS I can make websites also. Very skilled in HTML CSS3, a dash of Jquery and a very limited amount of PHP. (Dreamweaver and no, no, no I do not use the Design view function on there ever ever ever!!)

I also use the Adobe suit. Strongest skill is Illustrator, with PS a close second.

  • Thank you, I'm responding.

  • Hey Everyone

I'm a full time Graphic Designer, (I make the stuff you get in the mail and toss out without looking at it. - well not quite that bad LOLZ.)

I've had a game idea for over a year now, and have been looking for a way to materialize this idea.

Well after much frustration and wondering how many years it will take me to learn Java, I somehow stumbled onto Construct 2.

I then went and compared it to quite a few other programs, Once I realized that software like this exist! (Yes I know that sounds stupid).

    Some were downright intimidating.

    Others were crazy priced.

This one though not the cheapest came out tops...

Mostly because of the very active forum community, You Tube Video's and crazy amount of tutorials.

The interface is simple and easy to use specially for a coding Noob like me.

    Thank you!.

Looking forward to many happy and I suppose some very frustrated hours of making my first game.

  • Congratulations and best of luck it looks Good!

I'm new here so I do not have enough credit to PM you. Please PM me a way to get in touch with you. I can send you detailed schematics.

  • Good Evening.

I'm a professional artist working on my first game project.

I'm looking for someone to help me do the development on a game I've been working on.

Someone with a little experience, patience and passion.

I'm a starving Artist so I cannot pay the person working on the project with me, but I hope to put the game on Google play and related platforms. Obviously I'm willing to share all if any profits 50/50.

I'm also willing to help out said developer with art on any projects they are working on Pro Bono.

I'm going on leave from about the 10th of December till early January. I plan to spend my holiday working on this project full steam.

Here is some concept art. There is pages and pages and spreadsheets more of this LOL. So yeah there is quite a bit of it and the game dynamics (not the coding) has been worked out in detail. I have created over 40 characters.

(I've also attached a completed character I made for another project to show workmanship.)

If you are interested and would like to know more about the project, give me a shout out sandybeefree(at)gmail(dot)com
