Technically the web/browsers weren't meant to be used as a gaming platform either and look where we are now.
So I think it would be a valid point to let the browser vendors "catch up" and make it possible to use a fair amount of screen recorders to record the game canvas.
The developers behind their screen recording software, don't give a damn about specifically working around recording issues, unless your game is "worth" the effort.
Sure some of them might look into it but mostly only AAA games are able to get their full attention and get a custom workaround for their games.

Test it out yourself or ask one of us, no need to call Ashley in for that.
If OBS or Xsplit are able to capture the game canvas, they should also be able to stream it.
