  • Hi PixelPower my first Layout settings is the same.

    I have used Local storage for both, coins, score & highscore.

    Coins work fantastic, score works fantastic, just the highscore on a handheld device states "Nan" instead where testing from my pc it states the highscore

    Did you use a custom font? I know that causes NAN issues. Otherwise if not do my highscore method.

    Well doesn't this give Indies a better opportunity to earn from ad services since larger companies as you say are using other mediums (meaning no more competition in the ad market)?

    As for the you need a ton of dls to make money part, hasn't it always been like that since day 1?

    No it give worst revenue let me break it down for you

    Sega spend $100,000 in ADs to Admob. You make money because your displaying SEGA ADs in your game.

    Sega leaves ADmob. Now you don't show Sega ADs which earn alot of money. You show smaller companies ADs that spend less money so you earn less money.

    I'd say it's either something weird on your system, bad hd, etc, or you clicked the wrong button.

    I right click an event to copy, and it disappears.

    Happens all the time.

    Cause I hit cut instead.

    The project isn't that big. Remove any third party plugs, and if you can replicate it send a private copy to Scirra, and make a bug report.

    Pro tip: And grow a thicker skin.

    Yeah its was a random bug I posted so other people who might have experienced it won't go crazy. It bugged me out since I was near the end of completing my game when it happened. Thick skin, my skin is fine but if someone comes at me then I come back. The Moderator wanted to go one on one with THE GREAT ONE!! Just kidding about that last part haha.

    the question was for a bunch of objects/enemies

    1) If I add a bunch of object he will be confused with the code. Now that he has seen the code he can understand and duplicate it.

    2) If someone is new they don't know much about local storage and such. Thats why I made a simple example.

    3)If you know how to do it, why did you download the example it wasn't for you it was for him.

  • I'm sure your advices will come handy for newcomers. However keep in mind that it's not the event sheet number that is slowing down a game, but the unoptimized code. So building efficient code with great organization is more important. You can have that code on 100 event sheets, it will still run well.

    Yes but It make no sense for anyone to have 10 event sheets with the same code and only minor modifications in each event sheet. I have well over 100 events in my games no problem.
