  • Dual grappling hooks, a la Zelda <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Haven't looked at the .cap yet but couldn't you (have you) tried adding an event that waits for the Fade behaviour to end, before repeating?

  • The previous forum's User Control Panel had a way of attaching files, which isn't the case here. The link is still visible in the old forum HERE

  • Would anyone be interested in writing up a tutorial for ghost shooter? There's a cap available, but I don't really know enough about the program to be messing around with it without any directions. The original tutorial was probably lost when the site change happened, so would anyone be interested?

    Have a look HERE

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • It's unfortunate that the file links haven't been transferred, as the 'ghostshootertut.zip' link includes both the .cap and the full instructions in html.

Maybe some kind soul who still has it could re-link temporarily for you via dropbox (fingers crossed).

I've hunted through my backups and found that file. I'm currently creating a dropbox account so will give the link when I've worked out what to do!

    Ahhh. At least it's not only me <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Hopefully Tom will have some insight into this.

  • Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this but......

I have this site setup so I'm automatically logged into the fourm when I visit. This used to mean that if I then went to any other part of the site, I was still logged in as myself. But in the last couple of days, if I try to go anywhere outide of the forum - eg Tutorials - then the site logs me out.

    A bit frustrating <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ash is my brother, also <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Nah.

I Google'd for 2d plaform game creation tools and Scirra was on the list, somewhere <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • "failed to load the application: this file was saved in a newer version of..."

I check updates nothing new.. I run R 1.2, how can I see your file?

Works here with Construct Classic version 1.2.

Click on the blue 'I' on the right - what version does it say?

  • That demo - and a few others - can now be found off the main 'Construct/Construct Classic' link HERE. Click on the 'Demos' link and then the relevant link you require.

  • There is already a very good russian forum HERE.

  • Also, plugins can be developed by users, so anything is possible!

It takes a wise person to realise that <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />   Everyone wants to jump in and make the big epic game straight away, but the old adage 'you have to learn to walk before you can run' holds true here also.

Just keep asking questions, reading everything you can, and you'll soon get there <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Your post looks very, very wrong <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    But the screenshots look real good <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I also just noticed that, unlike other forums, there is no colour differentiating a MOD from a normal user, i.e. Tom's avatar etc just looks the same scheme as everyone else. Seems a little wrong to me <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    I like to see who the MODs are in a board <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
