  • For comparison....

Just tried in XP SP3 Geforce 9800Gt and it works super fast.

  • Just tested on Win7 laptop and preview worked.

    Welcome.

There is no .exe exporter yet for Construct 2 - it is purely for HTML 5 web games at the moment.

Construct Classic can produce .exe export but has greater installation requirements - see faq.

Re: exe being hard to crack - it is not really protected and would require some other method of protection such as one of the many exe wrappers/encryptors.

  • This is a quick (and dirty) test, that worked for me:

  • What do you mean, "run out"?

I think he's referring to the 'Early Adopter' price reduction, which will run out eventually, not the license (I hope!!!) :)

Tom has already said you buy the one license only, for ever, and only need to upgrade to a commercial license (pay the difference) when you start making 5g or more. Well, that's how I read it :/

  • Same here. Windows XP SP3, Geforce 9800GT. Tested with build r53.

  • hmmmm you're right. Must have been FF playing games.

  • Happens on my XP sp3 PC, but I wouldn't call it a 'bug' as such, and surely there are more important things for Ash to be looking at than this - it's not a 'show stopper'.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I would like to see this - looks interesting :)

I won't visit sites like this, though, as I don't trust them. You have to jump through hoops just to get at the file :(

  • Ninja'd :)

  • It's the same in CC. The condition has been disabled, not the whole event. You need to click to the left of the condition to highlight the whole event, then toggle it disabled.

  • He may want a folder inside the archive.

I read it that he expects an exe, which considering this the example section, would be the wrong place to post it.

I just thought his tone was a little impolite :/

  • Urled

It's an example .cap and associated files - what's wrong with that? And you can create a folder when unpacking.

I think it's very decent of chrisbrobs to share this with everyone.

  • I think C2 needs a couple more genre specific examples to complement the 2 available, specifically, a platformer of sorts and some other genre, maybe RPG. That would help newcomers get a better perspective of what's possible.

Unfortunately, since I'm not currently using C2 I have no idea if it's even possible, but am happy to be proved wrong :)

  • Interesting to see....

    Demos here

Most work ok on FF 6.
