  • What do you mean by '3D camera' ?

    C2 is a 2D game creation system, and as such, there is no 'native' support for 3D, although a few people have had some success with custom plugins and such.

  • You should direct any queries regarding your license to licensehelp@scirra.com, but basically, when your license is installed that's it.

    You don't say whether you are licensed through Steam or via the traditional key-file.

    I placed my original key-file in the install directory of C2 a long, long time ago and have never had an issue.

    C2 is totally backward compatible. I can open (plugin dependent) any previous C2 program with the latest build.

  • May I play Devil's Advocate for a moment and ask - why are people interested in developing for this machine? As most press feeds are reporting (example from ArsTechnica HERE ) the software and hardware sails are extremely poor.

    You should be aware that not all Keyboards support multiple keypresses.

  • If you click on a user's name, any games they have uploaded to the Arcade are shown in their profile.

  • C2 doesn't produce flash output.

    If you still wish to learn C2, there are 34 pages of tutorials that would be of help, as well as 84 examples available when the software is installed.

    A short while ago, I couldn't even load the site, so went elsewhere for diversion. Seems to be OK again now (3:25pm GMT).

    There is nothing the users here can do about your problems. It's more than likely just stuck in the mail system or in a junk filter, but your best bet is to email scirra directly at the address I've given.

  • I would say anyone who is contemplating responding to these type of posts should investigate the OP first, if at all possible.

    One simple way is to search for their 'web presence', which may be more enlightening than they would like.

    More importantly - be careful guys. Go into such interactions with your eyes wide open.

  • All in all, very happy with this software. Needs more example(s), tutorials as I am one of those that like learn by seeing things in action. Hope to add some in the near future myself. Software is only as strong the community behind it.

    C2 comes with 84 examples in the examples folder, and there lots of tutorials in the tutorial section. What more could you possibly want?

    Loading the templates and amending them is a great way of learning C2.

  • Just for reference:

    I've always used Firefox (currently 22.0) and do not have Flash or Java installed - they are not needed to run a preview from C2 - and it works fine for me with all C2 builds up to and including the latest stable build r139.

    What operating system are you using? Does it crash Internet Explorer?

    I would suggest that something on your system is blocking this from working.
