  • I don't see how this is a construct problem. If you Google your error you will see, for instance, THIS post.

  • If I understand you correctly, you want a way to dial a number without the user having any say in the matter, i.e. automatically? If so, then I hope this is never implemented.

There have already been cases of dodgy app creators generating shed-loads of money by sending to/dialing high premium lines without the user knowing.

If this is not what you mean, then please clarify what it is you are hoping to achieve.

  • Some examples of trail effects HERE.

There is an icon called 'Debug Layout' next to run layout.

  • You're probably right, although it is very strange that it doesn't crash for me.

What version are you using? I'm using r140 beta.

Hopefully some other kind souls can try this out also before Ashley returns from his hols.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I just make sure all layouts are closed, then right-click an object in the hierarchy (project window, not object window) and choose "Edit Animation".

Ah. That's the type of info that can change everything, however.....it still doesn't crash for me.

Have you tried resetting the dialogs, just in case one has gone walkabout?

  • I've tried to do this with 3 different .capx, but it doesn't crash for me. I'm opening a .capx, closing all the layouts, then editing and image and it works fine.

What are the exact steps you are using? Is it with all .capx or just one particular?

  • Where are you trying to save to?

Windows 7 doesn't normally allow saving to the 'Project Files' directory, so if you haven't already, try Save As and select My Documents area.

Tested your link in FF v23.0 and it's broken for me.

I know Ashley always says to check for GFX card updates, but I am one of the many who haven't been able to update since Nvidia released their 320 series of drivers, as they cause lock-ups and BSODs (see their forums). They haven't as yet been able to resolve this.

  • I just tried your initial GeoGebra formula in the calculator that comes with windows, and got the result 15.793, which is considerably closer to the Construct 2 value you have shown than the GeoGebra one.

This is a .cap for Construct Classic. If you still want it, it is available from the old site HERE.

I use Kaspersky AV, and it allows for individual application control, so I can tell it not to scan C2 or any child process. You should check the documentation for whatever AV you currently use.

  • C2 isn't forwards compatible, which is what you are saying, as newer versions contain different/extra code, so opening a .capx from r139 in, for instance, C2 r132 wouldn't be possible.

You still don't say how you are registered. Do you update via steam, or just download the latest - r139 - from this site.

  • Unlike almost every other game creation system, Construct 2 doesn't have a tile editor system, which is something many of us have wanted since the Construct Classic days. I'm hoping that Ashley considers this soon rather then creating another exporter option such as WII U, which is just about dead in the water :/

An option is to use a plugin from rexrainbow called TMX importer that allows you to use the Tiled map editor and then import the results into C2. The plugin with examples is HERE.

  • this smells an awful lot like 0 attempts at reading any sort of documentation...

He has 2 games in the Arcade so he must have a working understanding of C2.
