  • The collision polygon on your sprite is almost non-existent.

Best practice is to use an invisible oblong sprite for us in collisions with the platform behavior and just attach your main animated sprite to it

  • helena

    Exactly.

I use Corel X6 for everything so the image editor is of little use, except for creating prototype images such as boxes and circles.

I expect Ashley will develop it eventually, but he is only one man, after all, and there are SOOOOOOO many other more important things he should concentrate on... ****cough modularity ****

The licensing for the free edition says you are not allowed to use it for commercial purposes, and selling the .capx is, strictly speaking, a commercial endeavor - see How Licenses Work.

Maybe it would be for the best if you just asked Ash or Tom if it's OK, as they are the ones with the final say.

Are you allowed to sell a .capx with no license? Not sure, but Tom or Ashley could clarify.

I only ask because as of 02 April as shown https://www.scirra.com/forum/need-help-with-making-shop-game_p762209?#p762209 you still didn't have a license.

I wouldn't want you to get into trouble over a silly misunderstanding.

  • I agree that it has got worse in retaining login.

As my credentials are automatically filled in, re-logging in can hardly be classed as too much of a hassle, but it will be nice when it is eventually fixed.

  • A bit arrogant don't you think to 'insist' the creator of a product should do as you require?

  • PABERB

I'm sorry, but I'm with newt here.

How many threads are you going to post before you decide to read the manual and look at the tutorials. At least try to look as though you've mad an effort.

  • What are you expecting to see?

You develop a new plugin using one of the SDK templates using whatever your favorite javascript editing software preference is - I use UltraEdit.

The mode you are referring to is so that the changes can be seen quicker without having to exit C2.

  • The template works without error for me in the latest firefox.

  • Ethan

That's rather impolite. On what evidence do you use to come to such a conclusion?

Making such unsubstantiated claims is just bad.

  • As it says in the manual, exported html games need to be hosted in order to fully function.

If you're just testing, then what's wrong with the preview? Over Wi-Fi?

You can also put the files on a free site such as Dropbox that will allow you to test proper browser functionality.

  • You should probably have posted this in the 'How Do I' section.

    Ashley's build post states:

"Auto-join room" is similar to "join room", but once a room is full it tries another room. For example auto-joining "myroom" with 2 max peers will put the first two joining players in to "myroom", the next two joining players in to "myroom2", the next two in to "myroom3", and so on. In other words, players get automatically assigned in to separate games with the correct number of players.

You can also optionally "lock" a room once it becomes full with this method.

    *UnQuote*

Therefore. the lock option is part of the Auto-Join Action.

This implies there is no bug.

  • Also, as I'm a 'Yorkshireman', it's the only opinion I'm interested in

(more than likely that only those from the UK will understand).

  • Have you ever thought of maybe just trying things out for yourself and seeing what happens?

Nothing bad will happen, and you learn so much more quickly and gain a much greater understanding that way.

  • Try Construct 3

  • My 2 cents.

    There are already enough sections.
