  • its probably a phpBB specific problem in combination with constructs serversetting/database, maybe the admins of phpbb can offer assistence, i checked the forum and it seems that some people have same problem when updating server and/or bbversion

as tom stated that on his workstation it works, its harder to test, but the problem is still here, and if anything it seems worst than before, login after every visit...

  • I agree that it has got worse in retaining login.

As my credentials are automatically filled in, re-logging in can hardly be classed as too much of a hassle, but it will be nice when it is eventually fixed.

  • i just tried clearing the coockies from my local storage, i closed the browser, reopen site and im still logged in, i think minutes ago this wasn't working... i also see that a variable has changed, where it used a prefix "username" in variable phpbb3_i3v8q_k now thats gone, so mabye... will see later if it holds up...

you can test in chrome javascript console - recourses - coockies > http://www.scirra.com right click/clear

  • well, scratch that, just logged in again, bummer

  • I've found I am already logged in when I arrive, the last couple times. However I went to the arcade, and it said I wasn't logged in, so I click the login link and it takes me to the main site page, where I'm already logged in. Clicking Arcade again, it's not seeing it as logged in.

Just noticed my avatar did appear in the recent players list, so it is registering on some level.

  • Tom - I'm not staying logged in on the arcade either. I click login and it takes me back to the main page as well. This means I can't delete anyone's arcade games currently.

  • Same problem here re: arcade.

Also tried to submit a tutorial but submit wouldn't work. Tried in FF and I.E.

    *Edit*

Just tried to submit tutorial again and got below, although tutorial appears to have been submitted !?

    *Edit 2*
Submitted tutorial does work, so maybe just a temporary hiccup
  • Hi Tom, I entered my forum name rather quickly and reversed a couple of letters, my name should be 'fairwinds' but cannot make this change in my profile. Can you help. Many thanks.

  • Site is ridiculously slow at the moment. Taking forever just to show a thread or post.

  • Tom - spam filter suggestion. If someone posts a topic title that includes the words 'fitted' and 'kitchen' then you could prevent the thread from being started. That would kill off 95% + of the spam I have seen in the forums.

  • If someone with insufficient rep tries to post a URL and someone else quotes that person, then the URL doesn't get removed from the quote.

hahah. I have never seen a kitchen topic here

  • On the main page, my name is below where it should be

  • I know you said it's fixed but i still have problem with login at Arcade page.

When i click to the link: http://www.scirra.com/arcade/addicting- ... weapontest while i am logged in, it needs age verification and ask me to login (on this screen i look like a guest somehow). When i click "login", the link takes me to main Scirra.com page where i look like logged in again!

So i guess there are 3 different page structure on the website. Main structure, Forum structure and Arcade structure and those are independent from each other. Even page design and favicon of Arcade section is shouting that it's independent.

    So if it's possible fix that too please Tom <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile"> (I was being nice, of course it's possible <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz">)

    Thanks, good luck.
