    You can temporarily remove the video plugin from your project, which should at least allow you to continue work on it.

  • Every time i try to run my game i get this error:

    SSL connection error

    ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

    Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be due to a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you do not have.

    BTW im using Google Chrome

    It's difficult to offer any help when you have given so little information.

    Is this error when previewing from within C2?

    What does the browser Error Console?

    Have you tried other browsers?

    Have you tried Troubleshooting Construct 2's preview server?

  • Regarding Effect use, keep in mind the free version limitations:

    Considering this has only just started happening, are you then suggesting it is a bug in the actual C2 software? If so, you should follow the bug reporting guidelines or no-one will be able to help, and Ashley will close your post automatically.

    If you are just asking for help, then you should really post in the 'How Do I' section, and then everyone can try to help.

    This has been covered numerous times and is found easily via search. This will only work as long as you haven't made use of any new features after r195.

    Summary:

    1. Go to the project file. If it's a .caporj file, skip step 2.

    2. If it's a capx, unzip it (capx are just zip files basically).

    3. Now, open the caproj file in a plain text editor.

    4. Look for the following string, minus quotes: "<saved-with-version>". It's only a few lines down from the top.

    5. You'll see this tag has a 5 digit number; it's the c2 version padded with 2 zeros (so, r200 will look like 20000). Change the first 3 digits to match version you want to revert to, i.e. 19500.

  • Okay, I found the answer as this is the first thing that pops up in Google search. Also note the date of my post as I'm using the most current version of C2.

    1) Click to the project propriety window--

    2) Mess with all the "Project" and "Configuration" settings.

    After turning things on and off, I got my game to load with no blur.

  • I'd like to aks if there's been any progression on this topic? It's 2015 and there's still no good alt+enter control (as switching modes between windowed and fullscreen).

  • That's a very broad question - there are Phd students doing their thesis on the very same thing.

    Maybe you should elaborate.
