Please stop multi-posting the same thing in old threads.

  • Just take your time, and keep referring back to the relevant manual sections if needed.

Plus, there are many users on here who willingly give their own time to help, so don't worry about asking for help when you need it.

  • You are not understanding what I've said.

As I said, you can 'multi-select' as many single images as you want which will create the animation. Use shift or ctrl key to select a range of individual images. A sprite strip is not necessary.

    From the manual:

[quote:3ivqrvqm]Import frames - from files... Opens a dialog to select one or more image files from disk. All the selected image files are added as animation frames.

  • I have been following Ashley's tutorial for a platform game and I purchased some assets from the store.

the character sprites are all individual so I need to make them into sheets for idle, etc.

How do I combine these into a sprite sheet so I can use them the way the ones in the tutorial are used?

    Thanks,

    Ken

You don't need to convert to a sprite strip to import. Creating a sprite strip by hand is a slow process (for me anyway).

You can also select the 'Import Frames - from Files' option and just 'multi-select' the images to create the animation.

  • This thread has more info for those interested.

I never had the NW.js plugin in my project on export, and it worked fine. When adding the plugin, I also get a black screen (thanks spongehammer).

  • Right i found deleting the NWjs behavior allows my project to run now.. but local storage isnt working as it should, as mentioned by Silverforce.

    Thats a real shame.

    Good catch.

In the bugs section, I reported my exports worked but reading this, I realize I hadn't added NW.js to my project. When I did - black screen.

  • It would speed up the process of helping you if you could you post your .capx.

If you're reluctant to post your current work (understandable), then can you knock up a small example with dummy graphics that has the same problem and post it here for us to see?

  • I shooting and he back to me and attack enemy thank for HELP!

If you use search, you will find several threads on this.

This one has a few examples in it.

  • You might also find some useful info in the blog by Ashley: Understanding CPU and memory measurements.

  • Exacly it didn't work for me. I'm sure it has nothing to do with being the free edition.... hmmm, i'll have to try one thing and if doesn't work i'll send you the .capx, if it is ok for my brother (we'redoing the project together).

Anyway, atleast I know it should do as it is supposed to, thanks Zenox!

Please don't send me your work directly.

Either create a new .capx that highlights your problem, or if you're ok with it, then post the .capx url here. That way, many of the helpful users here will be able to assist.

  • Hey guys!

Do you know how to copy the poligon of collision of one specific animation to other in the same object? I tried right-clicking the poligon of collision i wanted to copy and select: Apply to all animations. It should've worked but it didn't, it does paste the poligon shape in the other animations but it doesn't respect the parameters of the initial poligon (when i select Apply to all animations, the other animations get a higher poligon of collision).

I'm working with glow effects on animations and i don't the game to see the glow as something the other objects can collide with (just the object inside). This way not triggering collision events as soons as other objects touch the glow.

This is probably very confusing, let me know if you want me to clarify anything please! (and sorry for any english mistake I may have made )

    Thanks!

I just tested the 'Apply to all animations' option and it worked for me.

Just to clarify: you have a sprite, that has a number of different animations (such as walk, jump etc) and you set the first animations first frame to a certain collision polygon, then tried to apply it to every animation for that sprite?

If so, then it certainly should work - it does for me.

Any chance you can post your .capx for us to check for you?

  • Sorry - your answer is a little puzzling.

Did you say that the built-in examples work OK, such as the Ghost Shooter?

If so, then it can't really be GPU related, as this would affect every project.

If the problem is just with a project of your own, then we would really need to see it to try for ourselves.

  • I never use minify (because I refuse to install java (in)security rubbish on my system)

    PNG compression is Standard

Options untouched(default) i.e. top 3 ticked, last one unticked (kiosk mode)

  • I haven't got 'nw_200_percent.pak and snapshot_blob.bin' either but it doesn't appear to affect preview or export for me.
