  • I apologize for getting back to everyone so late, I have had a lot of work to do. And the reason I don't want to ask here partially is because some of the questions I have may need a deep explanation. And I dont know if you want to post it here. But if here works, that's fine by me. Let me know when you are on and we can discuss this.

  • A lot actually. If there is a better means of communication that I can get a hold of you with, that would be great, since you are required to have a rep of 500 to send any sort of PM. I said I prefer tutorials because it gives me step by step on how these things work, as well as an explanation on why. I will not be getting a hold of you within the next few hours, seeing it is 3 AM where I am and I work in less then 7 hours, I need to get some sleep.

  • I have done that, but my thing is, is that I want to know how and why that works. Its why I like having people do Tutorials. Like The ones that were made by Ashley. Its not that I just want to have the events filled out for me, I want to fill them in myself, but also be able to understand why that works the way it does.

  • I prefer tutorials and having things spelled out for me because I like to know how things run. I am really new to Construct 2, and am getting the mechanics down. I completed the Ghost Shooter Beginners guide, but In my head, I do not see the correlation between tetris and a Top Down Shooter. I understand the solid object, and possibly bullet movement to designated how the pieces are moved, but other than that I dont see the connection between the two. I myself am wanting to see some sort of tetris tutorial as well. Note that I wont just change a skin and call it mine, I have other ideas that I want to incoorperate, but if I can get the basis down, side tutorials should be able to help me get the rest.

I am sort of with this guy, if there is any sort of possibility that someone can show me where to at least get started making a tetris-style game, please let me know asap. Thank you.

  • I have been scouring and scrounging around and cannot for the life of me find somewhere that shows how to create a tetris-style game. A friend of mine wishes for me to learn how to do the mechanics for that because he is an artist and wants to make a game. IS there anything I can find where someone is explaining how the things work? Any and all information about this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks so much!

    Happy Constructing!

  • Problem Description

A friend of mine was asking for some assistance with mechanics on a game he is creating. He is running an older version of Construct, where as I am running r184. He shared me the .capx file, and when it loads it says it cannot load a texture called 'particle1.png'. In every tutorial I have read, its easier for Construct with 0, whether it be a layer or image or whatever. He shared with me the file with images, code, etc., and there is a texture called 'particle0.png'. He believes its because the difference in versions, and the fact he has a personal license and I have the free version. But that should be the case, because if my version can read the texture called 'particle0.png', it should be able to read them all. So I am unsure if this has something to do with the original image file or what.

    Attach a Capx

    Description of Capx

Loads the first particle image for the file, but not the second, which stops Construct from loading the entire file.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • Attempt to open or download the capx file
    • Prompt opens saying the file is either renamed or removed

    Observed Result

Cannot open the capx file because Construct believes that the particle image no longer exsists.

    Expected Result

To load the entire capx file so that I can run and alter what has already been done.
