  • I'm actually having a similar problem. My game is all about physics. (Peggle style)

    I've stripped down as much as i could (to my knowledge)

    but im still getting bug reports from players having lagg issues on desktop.

    (i havent even decided to release it on IOS / android) it would simply not be possible.

    However im also interested in various optimization issues.

    (i am testing different things at the moment, so i'll be sure to get back if i figure out something)

    I have a question regarding optimization.

    I use a lot of "on fadeout finished = destroy object"

    would it be better perfomance wise to use "system wait 2 seconds = destroy object"

    What is best?

    I just released my game on the Chrome Web store.

    However im having a problem. The game opens in a popup, which i dont want.

    I exported the game with fullscreen mode, but it still shows as a popup when the game is installed and run. (even with some ugly borders)

    Does anyone have an idea what could have went wrong?

    Fireball now available.

    And the highscore is working now!

  • I just updated the game with an "Options Menu"

    You can now:

    Enable / Disable sounds

    Graphics mode: High / Low

    When graphics are set to "low" all particles are removed from the game.

    Also some animations.. So this might speed up the game, and prevent lagg.

    Im interested if anyone can "feel" a difference with the "low" setting?

    Actually when you are getting near a green "gem" it's the meaning that it goes slowmotion. Just for a cool effect. But i might delete that feature, if people are misunderstanding it for game lagg!

  • I just updated the game in the Arcade, fixed the wall and platform physics, and added 2 new levels!

    I totally agree with the bouncing on the platform and the walls, now that you mentions it.

    By the way, there is only 6 levels. I just forgot to delete the rest.

    But i'll will upload a new version with new levels later tonight instead, it shouldn't take long.

    Im happy, the game was fun to play.

    How about the perfomance, did you notice any lagging?
