  • What about making a leaderboard online code generator and giving people a simple tutorial on how to setup the code on popular paas' like Heroku and Openshift

Just the opinion of one man, Disregard xD

  • Ah, I see, Mmmmm, well, one of my ideas would be mapping every known variable in C2 to a number, set the current number when the textbox finishes readimg and run an every tick loop that writes a variable to the text depending on that current number.

I'll tell ya, it's not worth the hassle, if you want a debug console, insert the browser object, run your project in chrome, and ctrl+shift+j to open web console and anytime you do Browser->Log, text is logged in it, it could be a variable, a string or both (with &), you can even log in a loop but that might slow down your app so do it only in debugging

Also, do Whiteclaws, if you want more help

    • You made a typo in missiles in the greenlight trailer
    • The backgrounds look kinda bland with just one single color, but maybe it's a choice of yours
    • You might wanna add a falling animation (When platformer YVelocity becomes negative, he's falling)
    • Also look into webgl effects, you could add some interesting effects on death or level complete, right now it lacks the polish of a sold game

A nice presentation is: Is your game juicy enough? from gamasutra

    That's all I got.

  • You don't include the "", if you do the textbox will treat it like a string and not like a changing variable

  • It was removed from Steam

  • Wouldn't a node.js based webserver be faster than php at handling requests from users? Especially when you'll be hosting the webserver yourself, you wanna squeeze out all the performance you can

I personally wouldn't do it, too much trouble for you, and you'd have to handle scaling the app and paying monthly fees for nothing in return if this thing gets big. Unless you plan on charging for it, in which case, I'd go for bigger, potentially more robust company-based leaderboard apis

  • You are not exactly giving us much info here

What error? Spam box? Not enough space? Blue screen of death?

Please be specific and supply images when asking your questions

    RequestCamera event

Also make sure to set the permissions when exporting to cordova (uses media)...

  • First, set the size of the sprite to 32,32, when it is resized, it can get blurry, next, go to project settings by clicking on the layout and set sampling to point (it should be linear)

  • IAP plugin I suppose, that premium pack shouldn't be bought via google apps but rather from the game itself

  • saad Swad, Oh, I got it working, Thank you!

Apparently I had to set the permissions for media, otherwise I couldn't use AJAX

  • "Your built app behavior may differ compared to what is displayed in Intel App Preview.

Your project includes Cordova plugisn that are not included in App Preview. These plugins are not supported by App Preview:

    cordova-plugin-whitelist"

There is the problem it seems, I'll try including the allow tags in my index.html file

  • saad Swad, it is not local, it is hosted on Openshift and can be accessed by anybody aroubd the world, you can try it. (I just accessed it from my mobile device' chrome browser without any issues. But in XDK, it just gives me plain 404 not found

Edit: If you did get it working please send me youur capx, I'd wanna compare mine eith yours

  • No, I mean like where are your SQL database and Php files hosted.

  • That sounds good, is it still available?
