    FYI: Playbackspeed is 25 fps

  • Arima: I appreciate your help, and I may do just so if my spirit is back up. Right now I am frustrated, that the whole day went by without me finding the reasons for two strange behaviours within my project. One as due to a large anim (1000 frames)....which I still think should be handable by o software like C2.

And the other now with scrolling and swithing between layouts. That's why I asked if someone else had similar problems. Just for your info: the CAPX right now is around 60MB and has four layouts....AND uses heavy "rotation" since it was planed for the comp.....

  • I know, and I did that with Ashley already...but the CAPX seems to be to complex for debugging

  • Hey guys,

I have to get this of my mind. Please don't see this a negative crtisism, but I don't now how to carry on.

My project for the rotary comp is pretty complex and seems to bring up some issues within C2 and HTML5. One thing, that is really bringing my project to a halt is, that if switch between layouts, the scrolling quits working.

I tried to reproduce this error with an new and small project, but it does not come back up, so I think it has something to do, with all the rotating elements within my project.

Actually I don't want to post the CAPX openly, because I still have hope to get these issues foxed and then I would like to enter the comp without haveing the fear that someone has copied my idea.

So my question, has anyone of you come across a similar issue when changing layouts?!?

  • Sorry, the last CAPX link does not work, and the first is to confusing for me. cant you get dropbox?

  • strange.....right now I am unable to recreate this in a new project....which certainly would only use a small fraction of all animation and rotation

    <img src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    I guess its just my strange programming <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I'll keep quite until I have a bug in a small project....sorry for any inconveniece I have coused.

  • Me again....

Ashley same CAPX a litte modified. Link will be in your mail within the next 10 min.

    So, whats happening:

I have a layout that is rater static and ment to be an introduction. Size 800x600. From this layout the game switches to the first level . new layout with a size of 5000x5000. Fullscreen Mode is OFF and the margins on both are set to 800x600.

When I preview the game layout allone, everything is working as it should. Player Sprite implement "Scroll-To" and also each tick is setting the cam to this sprite.

Now, when the player switches from the introduction to the game level, the system does NOT scroll to the player....

Is this a know bug? is there a work around?

  • rexrainbow - I sure will for the gameversion NOT meant for the comp.

  • What an AWESOME Game - Great!!

  • The Question was well understood ....but the conversation has partialy shifted to email

OK....it seems to be a problem with a big animation (1000 Frame)....

Are there any plans to implement a object to use mov files direct?

  • Any news? This stops me working on the comp...

  • I am working <img src="smileys/smiley8.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Well, one can set the project either to fullscreen (crop or re-size) and you can have it "windowed" (Fullscreen off)

Though this can not be switched during runtime?

If so, can I program a crop for the fullscreen to reduce the field of vision?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Ok....search did not help.

I have a project in which I would like to switch between fullscreen and normal "windowed" mode.

Is that possible and if so, how?

  • are you sure, that the font as it is is not outlined?

You could take a font and a fonteditor to change the look of the font....BUT, that is massiv work!
