  • Oh well? So they just wanted to say "hey, we can do this too."

  • Ghost Hunter becomes a genre of classic game design.

  • I love you!

  • Definitely the way to go with things like this.

But it's still not okay... oh well.

  • Despite being generally peaceful in demeanor, I am EXTREMELY disturbed by the frequent argument "Construct copied MMF2, so it's okay to copy programs made in Construct!!" If I release a program using Construct, then some idiot copies me because "it's okay, Construct copied our program anyway," I am going to wring their little neck.

  • I am such a Scirra fanboy, despite never having tried other similar products. The developer of Construct is just so intelligent and secure; do not change your ways, Ashley. I will, also, always support Construct for its open licensing.

  • Heh, you can do it deadeye.

  • Are you using vista? If yes, fullscreen is bugged on vista.

    Try the windowed version!

Not on Vista, and yes, I forgot to say the windowed version works with apparent flawlessness. A rounding error it may be, when scaling objects up; I can see how that would happen, where it is attempting to be accurate to some odd decimal, and the coordinate gets rounded in the wrong direction.

  • Okay, here's a fullscreen 320x240 version:

Ahh, this refuses to load. Double-click the exe and receive: "Runtime errer. Construct encountered an error in the display engine. The error code was: 0x8876086c (An invalid call was made)." Monitor does not support such a low resolution without emulation.

    Not that it helps any.

  • Per request, my screen resolution is 1280x960 at 85Hz!

  • That sounds great, Ashley.

  • Can you give us specs on your graphics hw?

Regarding framerates, it is completely matched to the refresh rate of the monitor. 85Hz is the max for my current resolution, but... lowering it to 800x600 and enabling 150Hz refresh rate, the game plays super fast at 150 frames per second. So yeah, seems in need of that mysterious TIME DELTA that I have asked about in other threads, but no one has ever explained... ahah.

If you program a constant, 60 would be probably be neat. Or 40 to make it easier. What framerate does your computer get, deadeye? It... would be nice if Construct had some sort of customizable, built-in 'max framerate' feature. Unless it already does?

  • Yes, but they are the December 2007 drivers from Nvidia's site. I just reinstalled them the other day. Pretty sure they're the most recent, and correct.

Frequently I prefer modded/optimized drivers, though... I bet, if I put some of those in, things would run more smoothly. Switching between them at times, though, likely has bugged something in the OS, or, something.

  • I like the idea of a dev console.

  • In many indie games I try, there is some odd visual bug no one else receives. Perhaps the card is shot. Or, like... from another planet.
