    it's 2am here in Brazil, we will release the OLD TV Filter for GameMaker today

    I'm still working, create some arts for the release

    now let's talk about construct... still not sure if we can full port the filter, but, we will give a huge upgrade on it!

    the dot crawling, bleeding, do some fixes...

    so, next week will be a research week :3 we will check what we can do on CS2 and CS3 (yes! let's it work on CS3 too!) and Multimedia Fusion 2... many people didn't know it, but, the very first version of the filter was developed for MMF2! that version was horrible :p

    just to close the post, a friend of mine released a game on steam! and yes, made with Construct and uses the OLD TV Filter! and I really hate this game, I just can't stop playing it xD

    first, the new filter is done on Unity and GameMaker...

    I really think we made a very nice effect on the filter on these engine ^^

    now,let's talk about construct, here the stuff gets a little crazy...

    I really don't know if we will can give all the features on construct, yes, we can give an amazing upgrade, dot crawling, color bleeding and much more, making it a really awesome filter!!

    but, as some engine limitatios, I don't know if it's possible to give every fetures to the engine

    one think that we can lose it the new scanline shader, we had sent a email about it to the scirra and they send some ideas how can we solve these limitations, making the filter configuration a little more hard...

    ok, that's all for today I'll try to post something new soon ^^

    yes, I'm working on it

    I'm checking for a better, and more efficient, way to make it to the developer and set properties, enable and disable when you need.

    I need to find out how make it compatible with Construct 3 too, but, as it still in beta, C3 isn't my priority right now.

    why the time to finish the plugin, scirra takes so long time to pay me and not sell very well

    this isn't just here, my unity assets isn't making so much money too, so, I just can work in my assets a little at night

  • Could you please fix the scanline count? My game renders at 320 * 240 px so I set the effect to 240 scanlines. The problem is, the generated scanlines don't fit with the image. There are no 240 scanlines drawn, only around 150.

  • A quick solution:

    rename screenfade.c2addon to screenfade.zip, then open .zip and extract these files and install on effects folder, that's all.

    I'll do that on the package

    I really wanted to also control/settings the scanlines count for different screen sizes, within the coding, but I guess this can't be done. I guess can make a bunch of layers with its own "TV" with different scanline counts for different screen sizes.

    Set effect enabled

  • Hello again!

    Just bought the filter, just before it got on 50% off. Well I still think its amazing at full price.

    A question: I pretty new at C2, so could you please tell med how to control the filter settings from within Construct 2 (in the Event sheet, not the properties panel). If I should provide an option for users to disable the filter or change the settings, there must be a way to program it via events, or?
