  • stated it is more of a timezone thing than a state side thing. Just would make communication easier in that we would probably both be online around the same times. Of course the original posting was more of an ideal work partner than a minimum requirements thing. Obviously if I found someone dependable, fun to chat with, and talented; Location wouldn't really matter. I've just had a bad string of flakey people or idea men who tend to throw out ideas and expect me to do the most of the workload. Anyways, if anyone is interested let me know still looking for the partner to my "team meat".

  • I get these timeouts ALOT saying my session has expired and I must reload the page to post a topic, reply, or send a message. I'm not some crazy slow typer so I assume it's a bug that I keep getting timed out so quickly. Anyone else experience this session expired thing alot?

  • Been awhile since my last post as the holidays can get quite hectic.

    Life Update

    ------------

I had a phone interview with Digital Domain for a possible artist position in Vancouver, FUN!

    Game Update

    ------------

    Minor bug fixes

Added grass tufts and flowers to level 1 & 2

It's a small update more or less just to say I'm still here and still working on the game! Hope everyone is having good holidays.

  • Howdy ya'll my name is Nick and I am currently working on a game called ZAN: The Destroyer. Below is a link to the project and a playable demo.

This is unpaid, just for funsies. If the project does start to pick up traction and we feel we can monetize then of course we will split any monetary gains 50/50.

You should be a "Jack Of All Trades" artist as I am. Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Flash, & Construct 2. I don't expect you to be super amazing as I am not.

In the long run I am looking for someone I can develop games in the long term with and can count on. You should be over 18 because if we end up monetizing it will just be easier if we are both adults and can make our own decisions.

Also you should live in the states, preferably on the east coast, makes it easier for communication sakes as I live in Florida. And of course we need to share interests and a sense of humor which again makes the working together part much easier. So if your interested in gaining a new friend and game design partner leave a comment below.

  • Hey I found that the audio issue only happens for me on Firefox. On Chrome the game runs great. I did come across a bug that if you get some energy and start running and shooting. As long as you are running you will never run out of energy even if you hit zero and can keep on shooting. As long as you don't stop running or jump you have unlimited firepower. I love the extra bit you tagged on at the end with the sand storm. Can't wait for another release.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Well sh*t, Stain. That would've saved me a bunch of trouble lol. Oh well it was fun to do anyways.

  • jayderyu You shouldn't have such restrictions on the tutorials. Even the smallest tutorials can be helpful and it's not as if you are forced to donate. So if someone makes a crap one liner with a CAPX I doubt they will get much in revenue. I don't see the reasoning behind limiting the submissions and deleting them.I guess you could make the argument of spam BS tutorials but I assume the algorithm to search puts the most viewed tutorial at the top. If not maybe they could implement a helpful button. Which would move the tutorial higher in the ranks of searches.

  • The only issue I came across is the game didn't reset when i wanted to play again. It just dropped me back into the same lose game scenario with the "All Your Pong Belong To Us" and audio stopped working. But the first game played great.

  • This may have been suggested before, but I would love to be able to marquee select multiple points, rotate, translate, and scale them. Right now it seems kind of a hassle to either move one point at a time, or CTRL Select each point and try to move them as a group. Shoot maybe they even have this feature already implemented and I'm just a dunce. Also it would be dope if the collision points acted like the Pen tool in Photoshop. Where you can turn them into Beziers with tangent arms that can be controlled so you can create more complex shapes with less points. Any thoughts on the matter?

  • DEMO LINK if anyone wants to give it a try. Kinda fun.

LEFT CLICK AND HOLD TO LEFT GRAPPLE.

RIGHT CLICK AND HOLD TO RIGHT GRAPPLE.

    RED OBJECTS CAN BE GRAPPLED/

  • Thanks I got it going even added another grappling hook onto the right click.

  • So I have been working on a grappling hook type mechanism and so far I think it is working well. You can hover the mouse over any red sprite click and hold the hook/rope shoots out connects then the player goes flying towards the destination. The issue I'm having is that the rope and hook do not line up properly. Anyone know why they are offset from each other? .CAPX & Demo Below.

  • Decided to try and whip up a version of the old asteroids game. All art, sound, events, layouts done by me. With great help from the awesome Construct community. Anyways go give it a gander on the Scirra Arcade and lemme know what ya think!

  • Doesn't an instance variable apply to all instances so if movement was 1 or 2 then all instances would perform those actions?

  • Sweet, glad I could help! I would've uploaded the CAPX but I'm still new to the forums and Construct 2. So I wasn't sure if I could just put the CAPX file in my dropbox and give a download link, or if you needed all the files along with it.
