  • Yeah, it's a great move by autodesk. My university is participating in this programm so i could download all the stuff i need. Maya, Mudbox, XSI.

  • Done^^

  • Received a beta invitation yesterday, will give it a go today hopefully

  • This are cool news, congratulations

  • I have seen the trailer some time ago. Looked really good. But had no time to see the whole movie yet :/

  • Bought this game some weeks ago. It's a really cool idea and really addictive

  • Ability to edit Particles/Plasma and other realtime Effects which need a lot of tweeking in realtime, without the need to run the layout. This one would be a big time saver.

  • lol if you want to make 3d games, there are allready great tools to use like UDK or Unity. That would be a total waste of resources trying to improve the 3D capabilities in construct.

  • I know what you mean. You just want the materials to be shaded in RGB colors without any texture. Flatshaded. But you would still need some kind of converter to read the information from the 3d fileand apply it to the model in construct. Or some kind of menu inside construct, which would let you chose a color your self.

BTW. what format are you using to export from c4d?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Don't think something like this would work. You would need some kind of converter to translate the internal Max Shader into a readable format for Construct.

I am not a big fan of 3D in Construct anyway. We should focus on 2D stuff and try to improve in this field(2.5D depth rendering) and not opening a new one which has a ton of great tools to work with allready.

  • Its' making it's rounds everywhere on the net

It's a Plugin for XSI and it's obviously too computation heavy to have it in a video game of any kind. Still nice to look at and very impressive work though

  • 46 fps

    C2D ,4 ghz

    4 GB ram

    radeon 1900 xt

  • I use Win 7 64bit.

  • Try to create the particles as small as possible and let them grow over time, so it's not so obvious that they appear at 100% opacity...

Or you could try to move them upwards/sideways and make the part where they are created covered by an other object.

Thats how i worked around the problem in a 3D game. I spwaned the particles below the ground and let them move upwards slowly.

  • I have never once forgot to name my application. Hold over from other languages I guess.

BUT If I had a dime for every time I saw, "A preview is already running. Please close this before previewing again." I could fly every one to Disney for a week end and have Construct conference in the Contemporary!

Why do I keep forgetting to close my test game? Why? Why? Why? LOL

    Hahah, this sounds familiar

It would be cool to have an other button next to the one which tells you "A preview is already running. Please close this before previewing again." which automatically kills the running application.
