  • HolidayExplanation - A thousand thanks again. I had already tried something similar before and I don't really like the results. I don't want the camera to go back to the middle when the player stops but the biggest problem is that it is a little "jumpy". See the video below if you don't understand what I mean.

  • HolidayExplanation - Thank you for trying to help me out, I really appreciate it. I have already tried this though. It works when the player is moving to the right but when the player is then moving to the left, the camera is even further behind.

  • Hi there,

I have a camera following the player with lerp. I would like the camera to be ahead of the player when running though instead of behind so that you can see what's ahead of you. I mean, I want the player to be on the left side when running to the right side and vice versa. I can achieve this but it looks terrible, it's not smooth at all. Any suggestions?

Here's a video of what it looks like now.

  • calminthenight - My second solution with overlapping at offset works great so I'll stick to it for now but thank you for helping me out, I really appreciate it.

It only occurs when the player is falling down and the sine-object is going up. If an object with the jump-thru behavior isn't moving up, it doesn't happen.

    Thanks again :)

  • Yeah, it worked pretty well but it wasn't perfect. Especially since I want to have several sine-objects in the level. I came up with another solution and it has worked perfectly so far. Player is overlapping sine-object at offset and then enable/disable the solid behavior.

  • First of all, thanks a lot for trying to help me out. I really appreciate it.

I assume that the problem is that the player and the sine don't move 1 pixel at a time so if the player fall down for example 5 pixels and the sine go up 5 pixels, the player sometimes end up lower than the sine. Sorry, I can't explain better than that hehe :p The problem is only when the sine is going up, not down.

I created an object and pinned it to the sine and change the sine from jump-thru to solid. When the player overlaps the object I created, the solid is enabled and when the player doesn't overlap the object the solid is disabled. Take a look at the video below. The object will of course be invisible.

I wish I could find a better solution than this though but it works for now.

  • Hi there,

I came across a problem I've never experienced before today. I have an object with Sine behavior and Jump-Thru. When the players jumps a couple of times on the Jump-Thru, he falls down. Take a look at the video below.

Maybe Jump-Thru and Sine doesn't work well together? I've never had this problem before though.

    Thanks in advance,

Edit: I can also add that I created a completely new project with just 3 object. Floor (Solid), Player (Platform) and Elevator (Sine + Jump-Thru) and the problem still occurs.

  • I tried with different colors (black and white) and you can clearly see weird lines. It used to be smooth?

  • Hi there!

I usually use a gradient background and have done so for years without any problems. I'm working on a new game now and suddenly the gradient background looks like crap. It's not smooth like it used to. I have 3 computers and I've tried it on all of them with the same results. Take a look at the image below if you don't understand what I mean.

    Thanks in advance,

  • BronzeBeardGames - Hey again, you said "You may have noticed a bug on the vertical moving platforms" and I was wondering if you are referring to the bug that makes the play stand still? I mean, you can still move left and right but he/she/it is not jumping. It keeps happening to me all the time on Level 20 so it's impossible to finish.

  • BronzeBeardGames - Maybe the bug I experienced had something to do with the ads as well because as soon as I pressed the Restart-button an ad was shown? I have already finished Level 16:)

I've never heard of Ablteon, I'm gonna check it out.

  • BronzeBeardGames - I didn't notice any bugs. However, there was one time I died and the player didn't re-spawn so I had to restart the level. It never happened again though, only one time. I like the music, it's relaxing and it fits well. Did you produce the music yourself? I have finished Level 16 now btw :)

  • BronzeBeardGames - I just played your game and I love everything about it. Level 10 was not too hard but Level 16 is a pain in the *** for me. I'll come back later and finish Level 16, I like hard games. The ads are not being shown too often so I wouldn't worry about that. Well done, I gave you 5 stars on Google Play.

  • scalybob - I just played your game and I like it. I gave it 5 stars on Google Play. Maybe work on the graphics a little bit though? It's the same for me, I really have to step up my game when it comes to the artwork. I enjoyed playing Snow Jump though, sometimes the simple games are the most fun :) Keep up the good work!

  • Josh77 - Sorry for late reply. After I got the "warning" from Apple, I did nothing and it was approved anyway.
