  Koko, it can do 3D things, as Chris has cleverly demonstrated, but it's not designed to do 3D. Officially supporting 3D is an incredibly difficult task to under take but we are aware of the demand and interest in it.

  Yes, Construct 2 will have a free version, the drawbacks of it though are:

  • Delayed updates (new updates will be immediately available to paying users, free users will have to wait a certain amount of time)
  • A notification when you run, letting you know that you are running the free version, much like mIRC.
  • You are not allowed to sell programs/games made in the free version of Construct 2

  Once you start using VS, you really do understand what an amazing piece of software it is. I wouldn't say VS is bloated, but for starting out there certainly are a lot of features that are hard to get to grips with.

  It's never too late to start learning as well! Learning is good fun and rewarding
