  • It's been a really long time since I've used Contruct 2, but I miss it and I want to make a simple sim and need to have the game check system time since the last save or use so it can calculate how things changed since the last login. Does that make sense?

  • I can make a physical object impulse towards mouse.x/y, but how do I compare mouse x/y and then apply variable impulse away from the mouse location on click?

    example: the closer the mouse is to the object, the higher the impulse (limited to 10 maybe) and the farther away the less impulse (limited to 1 maybe)

  • I'm working on a text based clicker and I have the players actions appending in a text object, but when the box is full it no longer appends.

    How do I make the box start to scroll when it fills up with appended text?

  • For years, I've wanted to make a SUPER simple platform multiplayer game where you just run around with other players and explore the 2D map. I know construct can do this, but I have no idea how to change the example top down multiplayer example to achieve this.

    Anyone have some spare time to help?

  • Use "For each" to cycle through each item.

    Hmm, I think i'm doing something else wrong. It's only allowing 1 ai to move now and the rest just sit there.

  • I have a simple path finding ai that looks for an item and then sets path to nearest, but it sets it for every copy of the ai instead of it individually. that means they all set a path for that one object closest to the closest ai rather than individually going to whats closest to them.

    thoughts?

  • abdalghani , he meant microphone input, not audio playback.

    I can't get microphone to work in Chrome, it keeps blocking access to it..

    Have you tried starting new project and selecting "Microphone input" example? There is a sprite that's getting bigger/smaller depending on microphone volume. You can easily change it to sprite movement.

    I have . In fact, when I saw that it was like an "Ah Ha!" moment, but for some reason I cant figure out why its not working. Instead of changing its size to "150 + Audio.AnalyserRMSLevel("mic", 0) * 2" I set it's X position to its current X position on the canvas + Audio.AnalyserRMSLevel("mic", 0) * 2... Now, this works kinda, but its when I want it to go the other way that I have problems. I'm trying to do a double door style thing where two items move in opposite directions with mic input and its just all over the place or doesn't work at all.

  • I've been picking apart the mic input file that C2 comes with and I can't for the life of me figure out how to make something move to the left or right when audio is present and then back to its original location when audio stops.

    thoughts?

  • I have something set up in slices on different layers and right now it looks good when I move the camera, but I want the layers to follow something else so my camera can follow my hero sprite.

    Any ideas?
