Give Blender a try. I've also used 3ds Max and Cinema 4D, but they're look complicated.
Fengist - I've used Wings before, but it don't have any animation features.
Games with attractive and lovable graphics. Such should receive a try.
For example, a Kirby game. Kirby and company are really adorable and fun. And also, Pokémon games. Some Pokémon are really cute even they were on their final evolutions.
